Our small community has had as far as I know no one with the virus, but up above us 30 miles a number of people have come up with such an below us in the next county five have come down with the virus so we have been lucky, but I'm sure sooner or later we will have some people here come up with such ... What I don't understand is the run on the stores for toilet paper an water, this is an upper respiratory virus an not a lower one and you can get water out of your tape (guess they think the water will get contaminated some how), were lucky an have a well, no city water ... The stories like Safeway in the larger town 10 miles away seem to have a run on bread, cleaning supplies but have plenty of other things in stock... The local IGA seems to have both bread an cleaning supplies an plenty of other things as well, guess the city folks have not found out the small stores have more than the big one's ... Some but not all the camp grounds around us seems like they are not being effected that much even though some are not taking in reservations for the moment an others are saying come on down One of the came grounds we made reservations for in June in Oregon has called us an stated that they may be closed during the time we requested, they will update us in the future an refund our money if they are closed ...
The Casinos around us an up north an south are closed, their are a few trailers in the one nearest to us in their camp ground but not like it was a month ago ... The indians are building a new micro brewery an restaurant near us but even if it gets finished they can't open it
Goes to the Airport in Seattle they say there's not many people but picking up the DW the cell lot was full of cars an watching the planes come an go there was one after another coming an going ... As before it was a zoo at the pickup point in the airport an traffic a 9:30pm at night was not light at all till we were past Olympia, tons of trucks one the road, lots of refers an not much dry vans ...
So the way I look at it, staying home gives me more time to get the honey do list down, play around the our 5th wheel an camp in the driveway, play with my amateur radios, DW with her quilts an play with the dogs an beat the cat LOL

It is absolutely insane. All these stupid millenials and snowflakes that have ZERO clue about anything. The only reason =we're= stocking up, is because we know that this is going to last a while and we simply may not be able to get anything. Self-feeding frenzy... FWIW, every bathroom I regularly use, has a shower right next to it. I'll shower if I have no TP. Water? Yes, I've got a tap =and= and RO system. Only thing I don't have is an ice maker cause it died and DW doesn't like "tap water ice", so we have to buy ice. Houses haven't been so clean in decades if you figure that people are actually =using= all the cleaning products they're buying. Personally, I figure that 50%, or more, of all this stuff people are buying will end up going bad or getting thrown out after it expires.

We live in the southern portion of DFW. Our daughter works at a Texas based grocery chain in the next town east. They have off duty police and sheriffs deputies, at the end of the paper aisle and the bread aisle. They installed "splash or spit shields" to protect the cashiers. She says it is like super bowl Sunday, with long lines and testy customers. More paper and cleaning products then beer though. Today, the DW and I went to a big box grocery and another Texas chain. The big box had, bread, buns and meat, the chain had none and wasn't expecting any today.
I'm 62 and can't remember any time in my life or area where people shopped out of pure fear or greed. My late father told me long ago common sense skipped a generation, it appears it may have skipped a multiple.
The DW is a college professor on her last sabbatical. With a new trailer and time to go, we made big plans, but as with everyone else, we remain uncertain how when and where to go. We also had a cruise planned to, of all places Italy. Now we are fighting the travel insurance because, the Covid 19 isn't covered. Nor the fact a country is closed...yada yada yada
We hope to leave Monday for a quick 7 day trip. with a stocked fridge, and good internet and TV signal, we will enjoy our time.
Safe travel to all, and stay well Kirt

It's crazy town here, I went to the Smiths last Saturday it was borderline panic. No chicken, hardly any other meat. I have no idea why all the panic. This isn't Ebola with a 100 % fatality rate. TP, food and water are all still being produced. No need to buy a years worth of anything. Between the snow the last few days and the gov has shutting everything down its like a ghost town. Last time I remember anything like this was during the first gas crisis in '74. Looks like our fist trip of the wife's retirement is canceled...

LMAO! DW's working from home, which she prefers and is probably 25-50% more productive doing so. Were I not having to run the family businesses, as well as help with my 86 y.o. dad, I'd be driving her nuts at home, too! :-) Lyle

Washed the truck & camper today and will probably get the wax out tomorrow. RV parks almost full maybe half dozen open sites, two stores here both almost empty with not paper products. Good thing there is a shower next to the toilet.

Good thing there is a shower next to the toilet. Son-in-law and I were at Costco at 6:30 this morning, about 100 back. We were both able to get TP, paper towels, kleenex, and a few other things, some with limits, some without. They are starting senior days on Tue and Thur, getting in 1 hour early if you're over 60. They're f'n busing people in from retirement communities, so that's probably as big a crap shoot as just showing up randomly. They let us in 10 at a time but capped total occupancy at 800, or so. Guy we talked to in line had been there 3 days in a row to get TP and towels. Lyle

Wife scored a 18 pack of TP at a Walmart near here. They had the truck backed in at the tire & lube area and a single file line to get 1 package TP & 1 water

Glad to see some familiar names from the rally, hope you stay safe and well.
We are here is Western NY, southwest from Buffalo. We are experiencing our first 3 confirmed cases here. It has been moving East from NYC area. We have 2 major crossroads in the state coming through our county so it is inevitable that it will continue. The stories are the same here as elsewhere...no TP, meat, and like you, the H2O still confuses me.
Take care and stay safe.

Update Washington State still on lock down, but the younger population seem to think it isn't effecting them only us old people ... Low an behold there has been ten case's pop up in the next county below us that are in their 30'es, surprise, surprise .... I have been staying close to home, but the DW has went to the local IGA twice an also Safeway ... She did find that toilet paper is now reappearing along with bread an water, guess hoarders have all they can handle at the moment ... She did find that a few weeks ago flour was being grabbed up but yesterday she found that it was back on the shelf's again an restocked her supply so she could bake me some more cookies (YUM) ... I have now finished washing an waxing the trailer top to bottom, re-grease-ed the spring hangers, cleaned an re-cleaned the inside of the trailer twice, clean/washed the trailer awnings, lubed the slide assembly, oiled the lawn chairs, checked air pressure in tires four times, washed an waxed axles twice, mowed lawn three time not that it needed it after the 1st time, washed truck at least twice top to bottom an took at least 6 naps Stay Safe Chuck

Don't forget to check the torque on your trailer lugs! Yep John done when I greased the spring hangers
I'm almost at the point of repacking the wheel bearings but I did that last fall after our last outing But I been thinking of waxing the backside of the brake plates, axle's an MorRyde cross members
