It probably doesn't have a gravity fill port. You fill the tank with the hose connected to the city water connection. You open the valve that goes to the tank and, when the tank is full, the water flows out vents in the bottom. You may have two problems with this system. One is that much of the water spills out of the vents when traveling. The other is that the frame manufacturer, Lippert, says to travel with empty tanks because the frame may crack. Good Luck!

I have the same exact trailer except for its a 2013. I travel with mine full of water nearly all the time. You will loose a little due to the overflow ports, but that is considered fairly common in the industry.
I don't know why Lippert told lynnmor not to travel with water...thats just crazy.
good luck withe the Spree! We love ours!

During the model year 2013, KZ changed back to the gravity fill port due to the extreme water loss. I don't know if you have a cap where you can pour water in or not. No, it's not common in the industry to build trailers that lose their contents. It is also illegal to operate a vehicle while spilling its contents onto the roadway. The reason Lippert told me to not carry water was that my frame cracked in four places. If you would look at the right place, I'm sure that there are many with the same cracks. It's crazy alright.

lynnmor,
If you'd like, I can go take a photo of my unit and prove to you that it does not have a gravity fill. KZ changed back to gravity, yes...but not before I got my unit.
I have friends with Jaycos, Forest Rivers, and CrossRoads products...they all lose water when traveling. They may not all lose the same amount, but it happens.
My frame isn't cracked and I love my KZ. You won't sway my opinion of the great trailer I have just because you aren't happy with yours.

This is not my area of expertise, my husband fills the water, but I do know that our 2013 Spree 261 RKS can be filled with the syphon feature from water jugs by changing the water valves. We often camp where water hook-ups are not available and this works fine when we run out.
Also, our dealer made some adaptations on our overflow so we could cap it once full. You have to remember to take the caps off when filling, could damage the tank if not opened, and then replace the caps before traveling....it solved our problem of lost water.
