This short closet was useless. Added 2 removable shelves to increase storage space. This space is now much more useful. Mich

Nice work. Build it and it will fill, never enough storage.

I have also added at least one shelf in four different cupboards in our Durango 1500. When at the RV show this February we saw lots of tall small cupboards that are really not thought out well, guess it is just another manifestation of get it out the door quick and not caring how useable it is. sometimes wonder if camper designers ever go out and camp!

You did that all for one hat ?
(kidding)
Did you just screw the supports into the sides ? And what thickness particle board did you use ?

No electrical or pipes in behind. I used very short screws to fasten the shelf supports. 3/8 particle board. Pretty simple and useful mod. The short closet hang rod will remain if the next owner desires the closet feature. Used velcro under the board to keep the shelf from hopping during the drives. mich
