For those of us that have a mid-door that's next to a slide, have any of you found a way to "bridge the gap" between the slide and the awning to help keep rain out? What good is having the door under the awning if that gap lets rain run down the door and onto the steps?

I've had the same problem. May have to have something made special that can snap on and drape down off the awning ? Like to see what others think.

Lyle If you had room you might think about installing a small awning that some motor homes use over there doors or window ... Just an idea, we don't have that problem because our awning covers the door ... Our problem is that we can put a slide topper on the main slide because the windows are to tall an are awning over the door take up to much room on the upper part of the slide ... Thus as the old saying goes, dammed if you do, dammed if you don't LOL Safe Travels Chuck

Do you have a single or double awning? My doors midway with two awnings so it is covered.

I know what you're talking about Lyle, but I've never found any way to combat the rain. I guess I gave up and realized that if it was raining that part of me was going to get wet before I could duck under the awning. The awning is too tall to attach something to, there's not enough space between the door and the slide to mount anything..

Door is covered by the awning, but there's about 6-8" between the edge of the door and the edge of the awning. Slide is just aft of the door, outside the awning. I was actually thinking of running a bead of non-leveling Dicor along the edge of the roof to direct rain to the awning, and away from the gap. The other issue happens if there's any wind and it gets blown into the gap between the slide and awning.

You might be able to find a side panel that would work for you.

You might be able to find a side panel that would work for you. Yeah, was thinking of something along those lines. If I can stop the runoff, which is the majority of the issue, then find some way to block the gap a bit, it'll sure make things nicer. Lyle
