I have a 2018 Durango sport 256rkt which we bought new last year . On my last camper I put eternabond tape around the roof edge and around everything on the roof , vents, skylight etc . Pretty much everywhere the dicor was on the roof. I was pleased with the results never had a leak and had very little caulk to maintain on the roof . I’d like to do the same on the Durango but I was wondering if it would affect the warranty. I’m confident in the product and while it’s new I think it would be good idea to do when I clean the roof and do it’s spring maintenance but I don’t want to void my warranty on the roof after reading about the maintenance schedule requirements it makes me wonder if it might be something they could use to get out of a claim. What do y’all think ? I will probably call KZ before I do it I asked the dealer they acted like I was stupid to want to do it said just use dicor but said it wouldn’t void the warranty but I’m not taking there word for it , they are a great dealer but like all dealerships they would rather I brought it to them for yearly maintenance and don’t see that the one time expense and trouble will save time and money in the long run . Thanks for the input

sg Others may disagree an I'm sure some will but I don't it will void your warranty, but I will say why do such if not needed ... If you see something that needs such then I would clean it well an apply such, you know the old saying if it works don't fix it Safe Travels Chuck

I think you will find it says inspect and clean, and nothing about repairs. Eternabond tape & Dicor self leveling are approved products.

Factory techs used eternabond tape on a small spot I needed taken care of at the rally last year.

I’m going to check with Kz before I do it and everything looks good for now anyway. I just like that once it’s done you don’t have to do anything but inspect after its done . I did it to my last camper as I said , it seamed like a preventative measure worth the time and money I’d think they would be glad it was done I mean the dicor is good but eternabond is better imo . But that being said I don’t want to have something unrelated happen and them be like “no you used eternabond tape instead of dicor , warranty void “ . I haven’t had to use my warranty on anything but just from reading on this forum some have had great service from KZ some not so much as is with any manufacturer. I have a great local dealer and I think that helps a lot just don’t want to give them a reason to give me a hard time about potential problems. This camper seams built much better than my last one I’m hopeful I won’t need warranty work but as they say it’s a hurricane and an earthquake every time we pull it down the road . Thanks for the input

sg Glad you got a good dealer, the dealer is 99.9% of the sale, I don't remember the .1% but I believe it's the dealer Safe Travels Chuck
