wyomingta I'm just sort of guessing here looking at the pictures of the 280th, but there more than likely be room for two batteries, weather the dealer puts two in is I believe up to them, some dealers only put one battery in an you have to sort of beat on them to get a second ... Four batteries may be a push depending on the size of the batteries, our G384RLT came with two Interstates deep cycle batteries an there is not much room for a fourth, but saying this it's possible that four 6 volt batteries may fit or go to a couple of golf cart batteries ... Please let the form know what you did so other may benefit please Chuck

Of course you can’t use 3 six volt batteries, it must be in multiples of 2.

Not trying to be rude but curious as what a bad back has to do with batteries. I have a bad back & get injections every 90 days.

The typical 6V "Golf Cart" battery has the same footprint (a bit taller though) as a group 27/31 12V at about double the Amp hours (+/-), so two 6V Golf Cart batteries might beat out 3 group 24 12V batteries.

She has to sleep on a heating pad all night long---so we have to run a 400watt power inverter--it takes a lot out of the batteries overnight--She was rearended at 55 MPH while sitting still and she gets injections and nerve blocks but still needs heat to sleep !!!!!

I actually took out the "Denver mattress" POS out and have a Tempurpedic, wife and I both had bad backs. Buddy went Sleep number and I was going to try it. Went to the store and found out you can't just buy one and leave, you pre pay when you order & wait a couple weeks for it to be made. Then there was a setup charge, I was told they have to the customer can not. I don't recall the price but to me it was an unreasonable up charge, unbox & plug in, pretty technical. I wet with the Tempurpedic, we know we like them we have one at home.

Had a sleep number years ago----Piece of crap IMO---Gave it away about 4 years old !!!!!! One of the best trips I took, we stayed in a Hilton that had a Sleep Number bed, with dual controls. Stayed 3 nights and I don't think I've ever slept that well. The $4k price tag (we checked) meant that we don't sleep as well... Lyle

We used 2 golf cart batteries in our old KZ as we did a lot of dry camping without a generator. They worked great. We would be gone 4 days, using limit power daily...they worked great.
For the Sleep Number....we are on our second mattress. I have disc problems and stenosis,it works great. Yes, they do have to ship and set up but I don't recall the set up charge...maybe something new. I would buy another when the time comes. It is nice for each of us to have comfort choices. Heads-up, I only buy the top mattress, this only works if you aren't looking at the one that has various elevations. I use my old box springs, if you are concerned about box spring support get a sheet of plywood to top the box springs....mine worked fine. I have used the same boxed springs for both top mattresses I have owned. Yes, the box spring doesn't match, I just put an appropriate color fitted sheet over the box springs....saves some of the costs. I think the second purchase of just the top mattress we set up.
