We added a Furrion 5 inch observation camera today. Install as noted many times was quick and easy. Camera and monitor were already paired. What a new level of comfort! Even my DW was pleased to be able to see. On a 120 mile trip today, on I 35 from DFW south, it helped immensely. I bought mine on Ebay for $350, and after today, I consider it money well spent! With a 40 ft 366FBT and long bed crew cab, I had no signal loss at any time. Going to Phoenix this weekend, so that will be a real test. Safe travels to all! Kirt

Don't be surprised if it does blank out sometimes. Mine does periodically but it is only for a second or two. I don't know if it is normal or not but I just assume it is some sort of signal that interrupts the camera signal. I do like having it.

My husband and I are looking to add an observation camera to our kz 231rk fifth wheel and a backup camera to either the fifth wheel tailgate or the rear of the truck cab above the window, since we lose our factory installed back up camera on the standard tailgate when we switch it. Looking for recommendations. Looking at Furrion brands.

Maybe you should look at the Furrion system that replaces your center rear clearance light. I believe they make this wireless, and has a clearance light in the whole set up. That is if your trailer isn't pre wired. emit had looked at these for our previous trailer. We have driven 750 miles the last two days, and only had one time when the camera blinked, and that was on a bridge on I 10 in west Texas where the expansion joint was was crazy rough. Safe travels

I have the furion with the 5 in monitor it works great but if I was doing it again I’d get the 7in monitor. I bought it from the dealer had the install it before I picked up the camper. It’s a Durango 256rkt
