Hi all, we have a 2018 3911 Venom. Our electric back ramp door has stopped working, I mean the electric locks no longer work. It is my understanding the it is probably the actuators. I also read that some manufactures that use this door will install a temporary battery system to use until the new owner takes delivery then the dealer will connect the system permanently. This system consists of 2 9volt batteries and that sometimes the dealer will forget or just not transfer this and the system will stay using these batteries until they go dead. Anyway, my locks don't work. I can't find the location of the actuators or the location of the temp batteries if KZ even used them. Can anyone please help. It would be much appreciated. Thanks

I haven't worked on this system, but I don't understand why the factory would not connect the locks. Have you called your dealer or KZ customer service? You could also check all the 12V fuses on the assumption the locks are connected.

You could also check all the 12V fuses on the assumption the locks are connected. This is off a Dutchman Forum: The unit comes equipped with a 9 volt battery by pass that is intended for dealer locations until the main battery is installed and has full charge at all times. Once the unit is sold, the dealer is suppose to disconnect the 9 volt battery bypass and connect to the pig tail that connects the power to the house power/main battery. I just can't find where the batteries are on the KZ, From what I can tell, all manufactures put them in different locations.

OMG>>>>>>>>>>>>. I just got off the phone with KZ customer service. I can tell you, that one call to them will make it where I never buy another KZ product or any company associated with them. Horrible experience. I'm done. I will be selling this lemon shortly.
Good luck to the rest of you and thanks for the help you have given me.

Sorry to hear that. Hope your luck improves. BTW, Thor owns Dutchman as well as KZ.
