So 38’ 5th wheel. Wondering how fast I will use propane running furnace at 55 over night to keep pipes from freezing? I have two 40lb tanks.

I depends on how cold it will be. On one of my trips I was in mid teens for most of a week and half. I was replacing propane tanks about every 4 days.

I added a portable fire place in my last RV to help cut the use, current on has a built in. Run the electric to help ......................

Why not look for a 100 lb bottle and not have to worry about it? Most parks contract with propane companies and the cruise the parks regularly. Lyle

I am Lubbock Tx. Trying to get big bottle but everyone is out. I set heat at 55 only on nights it’s supposed to be below 32. Run electric heat in bedroom and after it warms up in whole camper. Our electric is included.

Lyle Think he's in TX Lyle, but if I was semi permanent I would look into a rental tank & auto fill.

I forget who's going where... Alternative is to run the electrics and use a fan to force warm air into the basement. Don't forget to open under sink cabinets to allow warm air in there, too.

Only slides I can close are front living room over tongue. Every bit helps, the smaller space to heat the less use.
