I had the cable company come to hook up a cable box in my Durango and they told me it couldn't be done. They said the signal strength to the camper was fine but the strength at the outlet to the TV wasn't strong enough to support the box. Does this make sense?

makes sense. Not sure about yours, but in my Escalade the cable goes through an uncountable number of splitters and connections before hitting the TV, I'm surprized anything comes through. In order to watch cable (instead of antena TV) I need to manually disconnect and re-jumper a few cables. In doing so, you can see the birds nest of jumpers in the bedroom and in the cupboards that the signal needs to travel through. Truly mind boggling.

Stupid question: did you turn off the power to the roof antenna? My cable reception is lousy unless this antenna booster is turned off. Maybe the over the air signal is competing with the cable signal?

On our Montego Bay I had to replace all the splitters KZ installed with some high quality splitters and after that all was fine.

Don't know if our Durangos are the same (we have a 2012 325RL), but there are two connections in the basement that lead straight to the living room and bedroom. Don't have to mess with any of the splitters if you use those.

I have been having trouble with my portable satellite not showing certain channels. I haven't found the solution yet, but in the process of troubleshooting, I found out that KZ did not use the correct cable connectors for satellite. If the connector will be used exclusively for cable, the barrel connectors with the white interior are satisfactory. However, if you plan to use any of the connectors for satellite connection to a receiver anywhere in the trailer, you MUST use the barrel connectors with the blue interior. You may get the white ones to work for a while. But they can go bad at any time. Believe me, I've experienced this on my home installation. I couldn't believe something that simple could cause some much trouble. The best thing to do is just replace them all with the blue connectors. Maybe that's what Shortlance was talking about when he said he had to replace all his KZ splitters with "high quality" splitters.
