My owner's manual for my new KZ Spree Escape 196S does not describe how to un-winterize the trailer.
I am not intuitive on this kind of thing. I've read a lot of generic posts online about hooking up to city water and flushing water through until it runs clear. It mentions opening the low point in the line (is that the grey water outlet?). I wish KZ had step - by - step instructions for the KZ somewhere!
Does anyone have instructions on this or know where I can find some?! We're camping Friday, and it's not done yet!

I just cleared the lines in my 196S. The low point drains are visible under the trailer. There is a blue and red line between the holding tanks with the valves on each end. Not really needed for the waste tanks but if you're fussy on having it completely empty then let them flow. The low point drain for the fresh water tank is below as well but located directly underneath the tank. The valve to open / close this one is inside, under the lower bunk. I hooked my 196S up to City water last weekend and after watching water pour out from the bottom I figured that I should put the "drain plug" back into the water heater. (this is a must) The water heater will fill with water first but not if the drain plug is missing Anyhow, once I hooked up the city water, I opened all of the taps / shower & flushed the toilet until all of the water ran clear and then let it run for a minute or two after that. Then I emptied the black / grey water tanks and she was done. Don't open the valves for the fresh water tank, there should NOT be any antifreeze in there. If it needs to be freshened up after the winter, google fresh water tank maintenance and there is a ratio of water to that is safe to use in order to flush that tank out. (this I would drain using the low point drain to make sure it's completely empty and free of "freshener". Total time invested was about 20 minutes. If you don't have a water pressure regulator (adapter that goes between the hose and the trailer valve) just make sure the taps in the trailer are open and you don't open the main water line all the way. The regulator will prevent over pressurizing the water lines inside the trailer. I assume they are dirt cheap - my dealer gave me one for free (clearly dirt cheap) As long as the water can escape through the taps and the main line tap isn't wide open then the pressure will not build. Thanks bagpipes, you are a genius! A week or so ago I tried to fill the fresh water tank and it just ran out. I posted my question on here, but have been otherwise to busy to give it much time. Part of my inquiry involved "peering" over the cargo area partition at what appeared to be a valve...pain in the you know what laying in that cargo area.... Your post: "under the bunk". DUH Lift the bed, access hidden compartment

I knew I had seen this on line ......... www.sportsmenclassicclub.com/pdf/KZRV_Sportsmen_Classic_Manual.pdfthis is the manual to the Sportsmen Classic which is 100% identical to the 196S manual that came with my trailer with the single exception that mine has info about the toy hauler option. The manuals cover a variety of models but all have the exact same info that is needed for all trailers. page 29 of the manual is where you want to read. (I have yet to sanitize my fresh water tank but this shows you how)
