Last summer while camping the carbon monoxide detector went off in our 2010 CL180 Coyote. Trouble was we were using total electric except for the H2O heater (gas only) which is at the opposite end of the camper. The sensor is located by the entrance door. It didn't happen only on one occasion but a couple of times. The last time I tried to reset it and it would not shut off so I disconnected it. Anyone else have trouble? Ooops! I seem to have to replace them about every 2 years. They are supposed to have a 5 year life, but mine have never lasted that long. The date is on the back of the detector. If you use a strong cleaners, the fumes can make them give up. I put new lino down and the fumes rendered one useless.

We bought our 2012 Kz Spree 321BHS June 2012. Our detector went off once last year, then never did again. This year, it went off when we used hairspray in the camper while getting ready for a wedding. Our last trip, it went off numerous times throughout the night. Once we cracked a window, it quit. the only thing we were using that required propane was the fridge because it wasn't working on the electric. We've had our camper out very little, so I will be very disappointed if we have to replace something already. I'm sorry to say that we haven't been overly happy with all the issues we've had since our purchase:-(

Our did it with hairspray last year & on our last trip out Lake Placid for a week it did it again. But this time I think it was just gas from me LOL

Ours went off last trip as well. Also using total electric. Figured we had blocked the sensor with bags on the floor in front of it. Moved things out of the way and no more problems.

Hi trex380, I had a similar problem with the carbon dioxide/LP gas alarm going off in my 2012 Coyote CL180. We had the doors and windows closed and the air conditioner on at the time. I could find no reason for the alarm to sound. The alarm stopped after the A/C was turned off and the door and windows were opened. Did anyone provide you with an explanation of why the alarm sounds unexpectedly? Regards, John B

My CO2 detector has been going off all summer parked in my drive on electricity, I've had other problems with it also, after resetting I open the door and it seems to stop, but this very aggravating the beeping is driving everyone in the neighbor hood crazy.

If you have the common CO2 and LP detector, they expire in five years, there should be a date stamped on the back. They also will alarm when voltage is low. Also hair sprays and other chemicals will cause an alarm. If you have a dog in there when it alarms, know that dogs passing gas will cause an alarm.

Does anyone have the model number for the carbon monoxide in the 2013 KZ 241RLK? Mine went south, I chunked it and need to replace it. I guess the better question is will any detector OK to use or does it have to be specific to that model of KZ.
