Anyone have any recommendations on a GOOD battery disconnect switch?
I'd like to mount something out near the battery itself...so waterproof might be nice! Maybe on the frame?
Ideas/suggestions greatly appreciated!

Get a Blue Sea brand switch. They are made for marine use. Just Google it and you will find many places to buy. You only need the simple on-off version. Don't get the cheap brands, that have the red key, as they will fail from corrosion.

I needed a locking ring for my 50amp power cord and got it from discount marine. They are fairly cheap and ship very quickly. I would suggest you try them. Here is their web address discountmarinesupplies.com I was very pleased with their service and price.

We recently purchased a 2022 Connect 261RB. The dealer mounted the battery box/battery/disconnect switch. Our trailer went to storage after we purchased it to wait for warmer Ohio weather. I turned the disconnect to the off position and the tongue jack and stabilizers still have power. The disconnect switch has 3 positions - On/Off/Actuator Off. I have tried both the Off and the Actuator Off and there is still power to the jack and stabilizers. There are wires coming out of the switch so I assume they are connected. Have not had to time to go over there and take the covers off everything to see if they are indeed connected. Any ideas as to why the switch doesn’t seem to work?

A battery disconnect switch on an RV is not meant to completely disconnect the battery from the rig. Critical systems (e.g. brakes, jacks, etc.) are meant to always have power from the battery. The disconnect switch turns off non-critical devices such as lights, pumps and other things to save power for the critical systems. I would highly recommend leaving it as is. You don't want to get in a situation where you need emergency trailer brakes but forgot the switch before you left.

My old Komfort and my '17 KZ both had/have slides and jacks "hot", even with the disconnect OFF. There is no parasitic draw from these, so it's a non-issue. It's the TVs, microwaves, stereos, gas detectors, that all create parasitic draws, which is what kills batteries. Just remember that the disconnect needs to be ON while charging or you'll end up with batteries that aren't charged. Found that out the hard way. Lyle

This makes me feel better and also makes sense.

I believe the emergency brake system is direct to the battery and does not go trough the cutout, I have not tried my leveling with it off.
