One of the casualties on our 2015 Durango 1500 on our trip to Alaska was a broken window on the driver side it is the front part of a 2-piece frameless window in the living room slide. We covered it with plywood, and are now home and trying to get the replacement from KZ. worked through our dealer, (Apache-Lincoln, NE) they sent a picture of the side of the camper, the measurements, etc. Finally got the new one in and when we went to pick it up, I insisted we open the package first, well, KZ sent the wrong one, looks like a different window for a different spot on camper, and it was complete with the frame. all I want is the glass, everything else I have, I know they probably get windows from a third party, and there is actually a new Durango on the dealers lot with the same window. Dealer trying to sort out the problem, will be waiting for another month I suppose. My question: is there a person at KZ I could contact to help them figure out what I need? DW doesn't want to have a glass made at local glass shop as she wants it to match perfectly, also needs to have the top hinge piece attached to it, and the bottom track for the opener.

Did you provide the VIN number? It might help getting a correct part. If that doesn't work try this surplus bontragers.com/

I can say that we had a broken window in our class C years ago, I called the Coachmen factory an talked to the parts department, gave them our Vib number an paided them $300 for the window an shipping, all was good I thought, wrong !!!
I received the 1st window a week latter, Ugh wrong window, called Coachmen an also the MFG who made the window, they both stated right window, I said no way, took pictures again, Coachmen again sent another window, again same window as before, wrong window ... Again phone calls to Coachmen an window MFG with a conference call this time, we discussed vin an window number, ops, Coachmen had given the window MFG one number off the correct window size ... I said what am I going to do with two windows I can't use, they said keep them an do what ever you want with them an we will ship you the right one, I said no, I want my money back because i don't believe you can get anything right, so they did ...
So I went downtown in our small town to a glass shop with the Class C we had, the looked at the window an said sure we can replace it no problem an it will cost you $125.00 installed, thus it got replace for far less at a glass shop than I was buying direct form the MFG, go figure Ugh

Well the saga continues, I contacted KZ myself and finally got an e-mail back from Andi House, who said to try to get one from the manufacturer (LCI). Talked to parts guy at dealership, who said he is still working with KZ. I told the DW if we haven't gotten it fixed by next year, just may have to skip our family campout first weekend of August and show up at the KZ rally with the plywood over the window and paint something about 12 months and no satisfaction on it! I went the local glass shop route with window replacement on our previous 5ths - 76 coachmen and 96 coachmen, but DW says no.

I have to say this isn't just a KZ problem. I don't think I ever got the right window the first time. Issue is too many people involved: Dealer parts guy tells MFG parts guy who tells order picker. None of which is really good at details... Lippert appears to sell direct: link

Window issue resolved, after the parts guy at the local dealer said that KZ doesn't have a window that size (go figure, after I saw the new one on the lot!) I contacted Lippert and was lucky enough to get hooked up with Sandra Berg, after describing the dimensions of my glass, she figured out which window assembly it was part of, got me a quote within 24 hours, had the window made in a week and shipped to me, installed now and it is a perfect match, came with hinge and track installed, a 5 minute job to put it on. now just have to clean of that duct tape residue!!!

See what i mean about dealership parts people? Good to hear it worked out. Try some WD40 on the tape residue.

The chip seal they put on the roads in Alaska is brutal on glass. I had to replace the windshield in my truck when we got home. Someone flew by at a high speed going in the other direction and kicked up a hail of small stones resulting in several cracks. My son lives up in the Front Range mountains of Colorado where most of the county roads are gravel. Every vehicle he owns has a cracked windshield.

I have to agree on CW, but I have found out that in some case's I can find some things cheaper not using Amazon Prime, I may have to wait a day or two longer in shipping an in some case's shipping is still free from outside prime
