Curious if anyone has replaced their stereo head units and speakers - if so what brands etc are you running?
I think I will replace the very weak Jensen with a Kenwood unit and definitely the outdoor speakers (that pop) with probably WetSounds. Also I am debating going with an AMP as well....shall see I guess.

The factory units are bottom of the barrel, replacing with anything else is an upgrade. Speaker noise is often construction debris, so check before replacing, they might be good enough.

I would think you'd need to be far from other campers before needing an amplifier lol.

I would think you'd need to be far from other campers before needing an amplifier lol. You don't have to listen to music =loud= to appreciate more power in a stereo system. Think about listening to a big block V8 just idling down the street and what a sweet sound that is, yet you know that if the driver wants to, he can blow you away! :-) Lyle

We bought two bluetooth speakers. They can be paired for stereo operation where one speaker plays left channel and the other plays the right channel. They're water resistant so it's ok if they get left out in the rain. For music inside we put them in the dinette corners. They sync with the laptop for movie night and the phones for music and voice calls. Built in microphone for phone calls. Batteries last a long time and easy to recharge via USB. www.amazon.com/AOMAIS-Portable-Wireless-Bluetooth-Waterproof/dp/B01K9NLD76Good luck!

We have a Bows sound system with surround sound which seems to work pretty darn well even with me hearing bad ,,, We did have to add a CD player since our Durango Gold didn't have one which was an over-site on our part when we bought it thinking it had one because they were showing a DVD about the trailer when we saw it at the RV Show ... Easy to Bluetooth link to my stereo. :-) A lot of stereos have a USB port, so you could rip your CDs to a thumb drive and play them that way, too. Lyle

Time to pop in a CD, doesn't happen often but it does happen.

The DW's hearing is great, I can't hear the fire alarm/sensor go off in the house any more do the fact of listening to numbers of high frequency radios radios blaring all day long in my work for 20 years ...
Unlike the kid with his am/fm or what ever blaring from his car playing hip hop, my radio in the car/truck is turned
up to country an 60'es music because I can't hear
Safe Travels
