We purchased a brand new KZ Durango 358BHK about 2 months ago. After the first rain we had one week after purchase we had 3 leaks inside camper around slideouts. We (at our expense) drive 60 miles back to the dealer and left for a week and they adjusted slideouts. Now that it is raining again we have another leak. VERY DISAPPOINTED. We have been Jayco supporters for 15 years and NEVER had a single leak. My first email to KZ was never responded to. If this is common customer service, I will never recommended your product to our many camping friends.

Sorry about your problems, I can relate. Are you sure its leaking at the slide seals? If you have Lippert (Kinro) windows, they could be the problem. Had no end of leak problems with our windows. KZ did step up and replace them but the new ones leak also. Not that window leaks are better than slide leaks, but if they are, slide adjustment will not help. Good luck. I never did get any response to KZ e-mails....had better luck phoning.

We Purchased a Sportsman Classic and had leaks coming in both sides of our slideouts. While my husband was at the dealer, they discovered that the seal around the slide out only went half way down the sides. I called KZ and they said that it is suppose to go all the way down. KZ called the dealer while my husband was still waiting for them to fix our camper, It was a conference call with big wigs to verify if that was the problem. They said they would have to contact all dealers where this camper had been distributed so that they could check the seals. The person building these campers was not following code and they will most likely have to do a recall. And since when does an queen mattress measure 54 by 80 when all the other floor plans say that a queen size is 60 x 80. I will never buy another camper from this company again.

Not real sure what you expect....sounds like the company is willing to do what is needed to correct your problem and that of others by a recall. The last 3 cars I bought had at least one recall each....things happen. I have had a few complaints but KZ has gone out of their way to to make things right, great company in my book. No company is perfect....I love my trailer and have been very happy with KZs attention to our problems.

I also agree KZ goes out of there way to make things right. We have never had a problem getting a phone call back or email from them. Customer service has been great. After talking to people with different brands of rvs and there problems with there customer service were glad we bought a KZ. Would buy a KZ again thanks to the great customer service we have received since owning a KZ Stoneridge.

I have been looking for a year. I heard that the KZ's are great! Went to the RV Show in Boston, met the representative from Indiana, he was really nice. He also said that they take pride in their work. I also spoke to a dealer from our area. He was very nice as well. The first time I met him at the dealer he spent almost 3 hours talking to me. He answered all my questions and concern's about the campers. I am traveling over an hour to see this salesman to buy this camper. Happy camping

We bought a 2014 lightly used KZ Connect from a local dealer and last night during some hard rain and a bad storm, it leaked horribly. We have had other units and they never leaked. Now it feels like we are stuck with a unit that is horribly made. We don't know what to do about it and feel that the manufacturer should stick by it's name and get someone out to our property to fix it.

Sorry for your problems. I have learned the hard way that the owner has got to do the repairs if you want them done right. A serious water leak will do nothing less than destroy the trailer. Get it dried out immediately and thoroughly.
If you can't repair it yourself, then the next best option is a mobile repair service. These folks have to do it right to stay in business, they don't make money by selling trailers.

Now it feels like we are stuck with a unit that is horribly made. We don't know what to do about it and feel that the manufacturer should stick by it's name and get someone out to our property to fix it. You bought a three year old camper, did you do a good PDI before signing the paperwork, check to see if there had been any leaks in the past prior to you buying it an how do you know it was lightly used, did the salesman tell you such ... Since your trailer is now 3 years old your warranty has expired unfortunately, have you called Kz Customer service an see if there is anything they might be able to help you with. Did you call the selling dealer an ask them if they could help you, or did you sign a paper stating all sales are finial I also see you are a guest, could it be that you are from another MFG an just want to belittle Kz products, why should Kz send someone out to you, why not take it back to the selling dealer or a RV repair shop or Mobile repair guy. We all have had minor an some major problem with one type of trailer or another, 99 percent of us unless a park model pull it to a repair shop or the selling dealer, not have the MFG of the trailer come to us even if we are within warranty ... I can tell you I have seen Kz bend over backwards for Kz owners out of warranty within the past month, they have stated that they will stand behind their product an try to help any owner out of warranty to a point, but they are not in the business of giving away the farm so to speak, but you as a owner need to meet them half way as well ... As the story goes, you bought a used unit, so as many people have stated in the past "BUYER BELWARE" Chuck & Hildi out an about

We owned a 12 year old 5th wheel, had one leak after 12 years on the front cap, I checked roof seals every year, but missed a year, that was all it took. I replaced the roof an one peace of plywood near the front cap ... Did I blame Coachmen for a bad product after 12 years, no it was my fault for not keeping up with my duties ... Is Kz perfect, heak no, is any other brand perfect, heak know, you can read tons an I mean tons of bad comments about other brands, who is better, one never knows with any brand, no one is perfect by no means, shoot look at the car dealers an the recalls that they are having now, one after another Ugh Chuck & Hildi on the Road

David Leach, if you bought new and used it 11 times in 9 years, that means that the RV just sat. Sounds like it would have been used once a year. If it leaked from brand new and you didn't make sure things were taken care of, then that's on you. Even if a dealer says they fixed it, it's still on you to make sure the problem was taken care of. If it leaked in the beginning and they fixed it, and now 9 years later it's leaking again, I wouldn't say it was a fault of the original repair or the manufacturer. It's a fault of time and age of the RV.
If you left a car sit all but one trip a year, you'd have problem after problem. Tires would go bad, brakes would rust and lock up, seals would shrink and leak, gas and oil would go bad, etc. etc. Same thing with an RV. Caulking dries up and shrinks, seals shrink and leak, brakes rust, tires go bad, etc. etc. When you use an RV fairly often, you notice these things faster and can take corrective action faster. A small short-term leak can be fixed easily. A small leak turns into a big leak long term and that can destroy an RV.
I have to wonder why you're here now and posting this. What are you looking to get from us? Honestly, if you only camp one time a year, there are places that will rent an RV to you, most will even take it to where it needs to be. It would be cheaper because you wouldn't have monthly payments, you wouldn't have maintenance items to take care of, you wouldn't have to have a truck to pull a camper. You just show up with your stuff and camp.
Good luck to you.

johnr Did you ever have the feeling that some people post on different brands RV sites to see how many people may bite I see on other sites the same thing over an over, I bought Brand X an it's a P.O.S. I wouldn't buy another if my life depended on it, my brand X TT is leaking after 10 years, brand X makes P.O.S.'s don't buy their cr&p ... We on this site like yourself try to help answer real questions on how to go about fixing or finding out how to fix one's TT or 5th wheel. but in the last two guest's case's I believe it's just another fishing story to see if someone will bite sad to say Chuck & Hildi out an about in Minnesota

Yeah, they are most likely fishing. I guess if that's all you've got to do with your time, then it makes it sad more than anything.
... back to the shop and my freezer door repair attempt... wish me luck!

We have a 2018 KZ 18' escape that has had water leakage from the hinges, front and back wings each time we use in rain Then we noticed water pooling in the membrane under the trailer near the waste water tanks. Been to dealer twice going back. They say KZ is not assisting them or helping with warranty or anything. I fear the mattresses will start to get moldy if they keep getting wet and the floor will rot as they have not removed membrane to dry it yet.

We have a 2005 KZ and have noticed some leaks at the windows when it rains. It doesn't happen every time, has to be a big rain & or windy. I'm trying to figure out where & how so I can fix it. Would it be as simple as taking the window out & re-sealing or new windows?
Thank you

There are some YouTube videos to help you remove and replace windows. For several years, a foam gasket was used and that was the source of many leak problems. Don't be afraid to tear into the job, doing nothing will result in severe damage.

I fear the mattresses will start to get moldy if they keep getting wet and the floor will rot as they have not removed membrane to dry it yet. Dealers will say anything so you think they are not the blame, I personally have talked with the Kz management an tech's an they are commented to make a great product an stand behind it. As I posted I have seen them go out of their way to help owners that are out of warranty, provide parts at no cost to such an tell them how to install them. They have went out of their way to repair trailers at the Kz rally to make owners happy even thought they were only cosmetic fix's by replacing a stove, counters, sconces, redoing furniture, so when a dealer states it's Kz tell them they are full of it's ... Ask them to call the Kz service rep for your area if they if they even know who he is, I personally talked with the Kz Rep from the East an Central Area an they were committed to customer service 150% . I ask were the Western Area Rep was an they told me he was home getting ready to except his new G384FLT the week we were at the factory otherwise he would have been there to... As other have stated each Area Kz rep an each Kz Brand of trailer was at the factory the day we were there, they all had note pads an listen to what we had to say, they ask us how could they improve in the Kz brand an showed us how they built 5th wheels an TT by taking us thought the building part of the factory So again if your dealer put the blame on Kz they are full of it, I would ask that you attend the Kz National Rally next year in 2018 an you will see for yourself how committed they are an since your unit is still under warranty they will do everything within their power to make it right, an even if it's not under warranty they will share with you how to fix such ... safe travels Chuck
