Porch light on my 2018 256 rkt Durango sport won’t come on . Or I can’t figure out how to turn it on I have 3 switches on the inside one turns on living room / kitchen lights one turns on the front cap lights and the other one turns on the lights in the outside speakers and I think it should turn on the light over the door also but it’s not coming on . I just bought this camper it’s new and under warranty and I’m sure they’ll fix it at the dealer no problem I just really don’t want to take it in just for 1 light and I could be missing something it doesn’t have a switch on the light itself like other campers I’ve had and I think that the wall switch that turns on the speaker light is the one for it but I had a lot to remember from the walk thru and it was 2 weeks ago. Just wanted to check with others before I go to taking stuff apart thanks for the help

I don't have the same floor plan, but combining the speaker lights with the porch light makes sense to me, so mY first suggestion is check for power to, as well as the bulb in the porch light. BTW: Congratulations on the new coach.

They use some even weirder label called "DS Flood". Lyle

Thanks Lyle you were right I just read your post and checked and sure enough ds flood . I’m sure they showed me that in the walk thru but it was a lot to take in and I forgot. I look in the owners manual and found nothing. KZ could step up their game a little on the manual it pretty basic and generic looks like they could make a model specific owners manual. Thanks again

sg I agree on the manuals, but all the MFG's do the same thing, print out a cover all manual that is lacking in pacific information about a trailer ... It's all about the bottom line, printing manuals about each trailer would coast more, that's what's good about this form. most time someone can answer a question about the what, were an how as you have found out

You are exactly right just have to be ok with letting everyone know I’m too dumb to find a light switch and ask lol ! You would think they could spend an extra dollar or 2 for a better manual tho or just offer one at extra cost I think most folks would be willing to pay a few dollars for one that was for the camper the bought but I just bought a truck and it’s kinda the same way only difference is all the information is there for my truck you just have to find it amongst all the stuff that pertains to other models.

We all have went thought it one time or another with our trailers. that's why a good PDI with note's, Video an marking stuff with some type of tape is a good idea so it will jog your memory till you get use to your trailer an all the functions ...

Don't feel bad. I've been RVing for 15 years, now, and managed to drop my f'n FW onto my bed 'cause I forgot to pull the lock-open pin on my Companion hitch. Bet I don't do it again. Lyle

Lyle I haven't done that ... yet. I left the tailgate down (or it flopped open because I didn't latch it correctly) ... lost all 6 of the Andersen red buckets that my landing gear use ... and when turning, managed to crunch the front door of my basement. I hate that the lessons all have to be so expensive.

We went from a Class C in 2006 to a 5th wheel, I have been lucky only barely dropped the 5th wheel one time an was lucky because I has
the legs down enough so the trailer never hit the bed of the truck Ugh !!!
Now the tail gate is a different story, it now sits in my metal scrap pile in a V shape since i forgot to lower it when I was in a hurry to unhook at home in the
Both are examples of the hurry-er you go the be-hinder you get an it may cost you dollars in the long run Ugh !!!!

That's called a "pull test", Chuck! :-) I have a v-gate, as well, with a slight tweak in it. I =thought= I was high enough to clear, but we were on a very unlevel site and managed to just hook it with the pin. Fortunately, it popped open (doesn't have a real positive lock all the time), but only on one side, so now there's a tiny bit of twist to it. Still works, no other damage, but just pissed me off! I agree with your assessment! Lyle
