We have an opportunity to pick up this little TT for free. We know it's a Sportsmen's, made by KZ Inc., Middlebury, IN. There is no title so can anyone help us with determining a ballpark year? Thank you in advance! Attachments:

Look all over the tongue for a number, they can be hidden well, if you find it contact KZ for information. Normally the information is on a sticker on the side at the left front, but apparently that sticker has been removed. Look at the axle for numbers there. Also, look inside cabinets for stickers.

Thank you for your help. The cabinets have been removed, unfortunately. I didn't see any numbers on the hitch - it appears to have been repainted. The closest body style pic we found online was a 12', 1974. We'll just have to keep researching & hopefully we can determine its age. Again, thanks for your reply & any KZ Forum member's input.

Yeah, I could see it being a '74, one way to narrow it down is the stripe pattern/ color, as the manufacturers tended to change stripe detail from year to year and leave the big stuff alone. Any appliances? They might help narrowing the year down. How about the propane tanks? They will have year of mfg- assuming they are original.

Thank you for your help - didn't think about checking the propane tanks. We are going back Friday to check the wheel bearings & tires. Don't have to tow it to far, about 50 mi!es. My wife will be crawling all over it looking for any numbers, to I'D it.

Welcome to the Kz Form an Family 
Again by law there should be a serial number stamped on the tongue of the trailer .... You might have to scarp some paint off but you might find it on the right side of the trailer tongue ... If you do not have the serial number or title it may be very hard to license the trailer since you can not prove it's not stolen ... Also it has to be on the title of the trailer so you can get it licensed, most any state patrol person should be able to help you find such ... Again in order to have it licensed you have to have the serial number even to get a lost title ... Good Luck  Chuck |
