The fresh water tank on our pop-up was a 5 gallon jug under the sink (hand pump), so this is new to me. We recently purchased a used 2012 Sportsmen classic 170. We checked fridge/heat/ac etc... before buying, but today was my 1st real opportunity to fill the fresh water tank. The water immediately begin running out a red hose on the bottom of the trailer, directly under the tank. Both drain hoses, red & Blue are readily available, and both were closed, so I assumed it was an overflow. The tank is empty!!!! I do not believe this model has an overflow. I peered over the top of the partion wall, and it appears that a hose comes from the bottom of the tank to a "t". There appears to be some type of valve there, possibly back flow as the pump is located there. The hose appears to continue on, but also looks like that "t" is directly above the red leaking hose under the trailer. Is this the tank drain? Should there be a valve there to close it off? Kinda hard peering over the partion, so if I can simply add a valve under the trailer that would be preferable to removing the partion so I can get under there. Any help on this would be helpful. By the way...I immediately thought the tank was full because the dealer left me a surprise in the black tank!!!! Spilled a little in the driveway, is how I found out. None to happy knowing I towed a loaded tank to my home, but lucky I have the capability of accessing my sewage. So I dumped, cleaned, etc....

I would think the coloured lines are Hot & Cold. There should be a tank drain valve and there could also be a low point drain valve.

Kinda hard peering over the partition, so if I can simply add a valve under the trailer that would be preferable to removing the partition so I can get under there. No, lifting the bed never occurred to me At least not until I was reading a post concerning un-winterizing. That valve I was referring to, goes up/down...like a tank drain!!!! Can't believe I was laying in the cargo area "peering" over a partition wall.....completely forgetting the bed lifted up.
