New to the KZ form, not to KZ moving up from a Spree. Have always been happy with the trailer.
Should be picking it up the new unit in the next few weeks. Saw it coming off the line last week. I have seen the PDI information and will use it. The dealer is also offering an extended warranty(s) and protection plan. Any thoughts or opinions on these extras?
Thank you.

The dealer is also offering an extended warranty(s) and protection plan. Any thoughts or opinions on these extras? Welcome! My opinion is that you will have warranty coverage for two years. Extended warranty coverage is mostly a high profit item for the dealer. If you think that is bad, the "protection plan" is a few cans of wax and fabric protection worth about $25 and the labor to do a quick and dirty application. Wax it yourself and learn to do repairs, that way it will be done right away instead of sitting at a dealer for an unknown amount of time. The money saved will be more than enough to pay for anything that is needed unless you are about the unluckiest guy on the planet. If you need to hire a mechanic for a tough job, just call a mobile RV repair service.

Tom- It’s good to see that you’re now one of us. It was great to be there when you saw your new rig fresh off the line. Hopefully you had a safe ride home after your breakfast at Rise and Roll.

Congratulations on the new coach. Welcome to the forum. I would pass on both the extended warranty and protection place. As previously said the factory provides a 2 year warranty. My experience has been if things like appliances are still working after 6 months, they will continue to work for a normal long lifespan. These warranties come with a lot of exceptions and reasons to not pay for repairs. The other issue is they often expect you to pay for the repair with the "promise" to reimburse you. One reason for this is they often don't want to pay what a shop wants, so you end up in the middle. Save your money.

Congratulations on the new trailer and welcome to the forum. I bet it was really a neat experience watching the trailer being built. Like the others... I never buy the warranties and protection items. Just put the money in a separate account and use it to pay for any repairs after the warranty expires.

They took care of everything that we asked them to do. We had a safe trip home no problems. Good luck with yours and safe travels and maybe will catch you somewhere out there either towards your area or ours.
