We’re getting ready to take off on another trip and after the last trip we would like to increase the fridge efficiency if possible. We have a Venom 4013TK and with the heat in Texas this time of year the fridge and freezer didn’t get as cold as we would like......it was acceptable but if I could make it cooler that would be great.
So with that, has anyone tried one of those exterior vent fans?
We’re open to any suggestions that might help.
Tanks.

Not sure which fridge you have but if it's the 18cbft make sure the little center flap is closing. Out side close any air gaps around the unit with expanding foam. I had issues for a long time until we found the flap issue, now I have ice cream not milk shakes. I'm in NM so fight the heat also.

You should have received a manual for the fridge that shows installation. If you don't have it, go to the manufacturers website and download it. Check that the instructions were followed precisely, mine was quite a mess. If after correcting any issues you still are not satisfied with the cooling, then consider fans, but they must be installed in a way that they don't add to the problem. A fan will partially block air flow so they actually reduce cooling when not running. Also when camping without electricity that is another load you need to generate.

Yeah the center flap on the doors is a pain in the a$$ If I open and close the left door.....I then have to open the right door to fix the center flap.
