Ok, so I've got the harness connected except for 1 thing. With the wife in the hospital its hard to do this all at once.
Breakaway switch - Orange & Black wire.
I also have a heavy wire coming from the batteries into the junction box. This being power, I'm sure.
The wires on the switch are probably 16 gauge.
So,, I believe that one of the wires, doesn't matter which, will go to ground in the box and the other to the battery cable.
The battery cable is so much larger than the breakaway - Would it just be a case of wrapping the switch wire around the battery cable, then wire nut them?
Thanks, Hope I got it straight. Don't know why I'm agonizing about it.

I'm not sure were you going with this capemayal, the ground wire should go to the ground side an the hot or positive wire to the plus side, mixing the two would create a short .... The wire coming from the Breakaway switch dozen't matter so much the gauge, but on our Durango Gold the orange is Hot an black is ground ... Now say this, this may be true for our 5th wheel an not for your's Ugh ... Why I say this sometimes things get mixed up in the construction of these trailers an even though in house wiring white is ground an in electrics black is ground someone in a hurry can which things around or throw in a different color because they were short that day on red wire an put orange wire in for a positive lead .... So check around an make sure that orange is positive an black is ground not white .... Safe Travels Chuck
