I don't get my new cell amp until tomorrow to put on it but I made this with a powerful suction cup and an old cherry picker. I ordered the suction cup here www.technorv.com/suction-cup-antenna-mount-1/The cherry picker was a nice touch because its light, can be extended and the cable fishes through the pole. Very easy to setup and I plan on running the cable through the slides. I can get this 10 ft over the top of my RV if needed. I hope this helps someone. Also, if you have a better idea than running the cable through the slide, I would love to hear it. I hope it doesnt hurt the seal.

It looks like I would have to drill a hole in the wall of my RV to use this? You think this is better than running through the slide seal?

Yes, you run a chance of damaging the seal. This is exactly what was an my last two 5W's to run cable TV in from the campgrounds. It is made to do exactly what you want, bring the cable inside, installed properly is waterproof. That's a 4" hole in the side of a year old KZ for a washer/dryer. You built the mount, this is a simple job.

Im not sure where I would drill to run the cord out. I have an inside antenna that needs to be in the kitchen area. I see what you did in the bay, but in the kitchen area, I have walls to go through plus the exterior. Im worried as hell to do that. Do you have anymore advice that you can give me?

I do already have a cable and satellite hookup on the outside. However I was thinking of using them for what they are meant for. .

Since you have an outside kitchen, why not run the cable through the outer door, then through an interior wall? You could either just run the cable through the door seal or use one of the coax connectors that Edd suggested. Put it up near the hinge and tie the cable to the ceiling of the kitchen area, then through the interior wall, or even fish it up into the ceiling. Leave just enough slack at the hinge to be able to open and close the door. At absolute worst, you'd only screw up the outer door and not a wall. Put the suction mount on the rear, just around the corner from the door.

That 4" hole was drilled from inside the closet to the outside. A stud finder will insure you don't find one. You will find the outside fiberglass,Styrofoam insulation and the wood panel inside. The hole for cable would be small and the cover would hid any mistake. Use the connectors you have for what the factory intended, just add another where it's convenient for you. Here's that hole covered with the drier vent.

The other side of my kitchen is my bathroom. My fear is hitting something that I shouldnt. Are we fairly sure that running it through the slide seal is bad for the seal like one of the original replies said?

Look at the worst case, you damage the seal, water gets in and you ruin what ever gets wet or drill a small hole seal it properly and know there is not an issue. Your camper, your choice on how you tackle it.
