Someone else will have to help with this one too. I can tell you, you don't need plywood, and that I bought my mount at Walmart. Its been to long ago to know the model number. As for the screws I just measured the thickness of the wall at the door and went from there. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I'm sure someone else can chime in with more info.

Would this work? My concern is there is the single stud mounting instead of a plate with 4 screws. Was thinking #12 or 14 1 inch sheet metal screws with a couple washers. I dont want it to pull off the wall though! Usually there is sheet metal in the wall right behind the paneling, so you don't need very long screws. Check for sheet metal with a strong magnet. If you find none, it would be best to contact KZ to find out what is behind your TV backer location. Without knowing where your TV mounts, I can only guess. The TV mount should be one that can be locked in place for travel so it doesn't swing around. One Example

Yes i have sheet metal. I have identified the location and found the edges with a magnet. Are you saying 1” screws are too long? The mount you link is similar to the one i linked in that it is held to the wall with 2 screws vertically alligned. I was thinking something that had a plate with say 4 screws would be more solid. are you saying that the 2 screw mount is perfectly fine? No reinforcement nevessary?

1" screws should be fine, they only need to enter the wall about 1/2". Extra length will do nothing and might cause condensation problems if on an outside wall. Remember that it is thin sheet metal, so don't over-tighten. I used a poor example to demonstrate an RV mount, the plate that mounts to the wall is rather small. There are many others out there, so you should search to find one that fits your TV and has a sizable plate that contacts the wall. The one you linked to has no latch to prevent movement while traveling. Here is another source for RV mounts, but they are pricey: link

Great thank you. Has anyone used a mount with two screws? Does it work well? Or is the mounting plate with multiple screws a requirement? Anyone have pictures?

I settled on this mount amzn.to/2DkqVQi because you can easily take tv down and set on bed for travel. I mounted with 2 size 14 sheet metal screws 3/4”. I did add a couple 3/16 washers to make sure screw heads didnt pull through. I predrilled my holes in center of tv backer with a 1/8 bit. Hand tighten. Do not over tighten and pull through. Worked well. It is solid. I like it. Here is the tv i bought in case you wonder amzn.to/2Frx267 i purchased on sale at costco. Nice tv for the space. I would add pics but i dont see that as an option on my screen.

bishopfam7 You will see the word Reply to the top right on the posting green line, click on post an it will take you to a different screen that will have additional stuff link font size, font face, paragraphs etc just like your regular email client ... There you will see "Add Attachment", if you click on add attachment you will have another window pop up were you can add an attachment such as picture you have stored on your computer , click on add file an download the file you want... Be careful adding it to your post because you can delete it if you add a linefeed after the you add the attachment to your posting. What I do is add a linefeed an the go back an add the attachment if it at the end of a line thus having the next line available an not deleting the attachment if that makes sense ... If adding at attachment on a line, I always add three spaces an go back to spaces an add the attachment Safe Travels
