On our last trip while traveling I-5 South at Patterson CA. We hit some square edge bumps on an over-pass that dislodged the pantry shelves and they fell. Luckily no damage.
I think that when we hit a series of bumps that causes a porpousing action, that the shelves jump up and the clip's fall out of the vertial adjustable runners.
I put new shelf clips in, (this is not the first time the shelves have fell). Then I stuffed pillows between the shelves to help with the bouncing.
I'm thinking I should drill and screw the clips to the wall bracket and then the shelves to the clips
Any suggestions.

Just for information I did some research and found that "Knape & Vogt" make a shelf bracket clip rated at 50 lbs each. #256zc. I'll give these a try.
Then I'll try and secure the shelf to the brackets. Not sure how alot of options.

I just built some shelf supports out of 1x2 material, adjusted to what DW wanted and screwed them in from the floor up to bottom of top shelf. We have the 3911 and pantry is very large so shelves could get heavy and traveling made thing come crashing down.

Did you attach the shelves to the 1x2. I just don't trust the shelves as they come from the factory. I'm also thinking about making a pad to protect the pantry door glass. Something that could be rolled or folded once parked. Maybeybe bubble wrap with Velcro tabs in the corners

the 1x2 frame is screwed to the floor, the shelves are screwed to the frames at each level. The fit pretty tight in the pantry so did not screw to the side walls. did make the frames pretty snug front to back and side to side so no movement. Have made two trips since doing this and all is well so far. each self has its own frame which is screwed to the one below it to tie it all together. Hope i'm explaining it good enough pretty easy and hides behind the door frame pretty good

I can see where your bracing would keep the shelves from falling even on the toughest roads.

One of the things we did in the walk-in closest was to put a 1X6 board from the floor to the bottom of the rod that held the cloths an below the shelf... I learned this from another member of the form when their cloths hanger came down along with pulling the shelf from the wall ... This I notched the 1X6 so the rod layed in the notch an then screwed the end to the shelf from the top down an also screwed from the metal hanger that was holding up the rod ... Safe Travels Chuck
