We brought our 271BHLE camper in for its 1 year warranty repairs. We found a small bump in the floor and told our dealer. They repair for it was to cut the flooring along the false grout lines, peel up the floor and remove the piece of metal debris, put the floor back down without gluing or sealing the seam. We took our trailer out on Memorial Day weekend and I noticed the cut in the floor. That's when we figured out what they did. The floor is lifting at the cuts and the pieces are pulling away from each other, making the seam wider. The 'repaired' area is right in front of the door and kitchen sink. We called the dealer and sent them pictures and they said that the floor was not repaired proper and their solution is to cut a larger chunk out and patch it in. The problem I have with this is that it is right in front of the door where there is dirt/water and a lot of traffic and the patch not holding up. My floor now looks like it is in a camper that is 10+ years old...! I also am not confident in their repairs since they thought they would get by with the first repair that wasn't even cut straight...I feel like if it is covered under warranty then my floor should be repaired to NEW standards not a huge patch that has potential to cause major issues in a few years.
How would you handle this...?
We have expressed our concerns to the dealer on their solution to fix their crap repair job (they couldn't even cut straight lines)...and have gotten the silent treatment for two weeks. They had our trailer for the winter and now that its summer and prime camping season we have to deal with this.
