Today I was inspecting the roof on our trailer and found that our bunkhouse roof has one hole, and another soon to be hole. It appears that the wiper seals are actually causing the issue by rubbing on the roof while the slide is closed. Both spots are nothing a dab of Dicor and small piece of eternabond will fix.
My question is this. Naturally I have expressed the fact that we are having difficulties with our dealer and getting them to handle warranty work. All of that aside, has anyone else experienced this particular problem and been able to have the roof replaced under warranty?
It really aggravates me that the trailer is not even a year old and now I have one hole, and a second developing, and neither are due to neglect or lack of maintenance. Our trailer has three slides, and this is the only one. I did take some measurements off of the slide today, and it appears that it could be adjusted just a little on the high side. Naturally, with it being fairly new, that is something I have never messed with, or had a reason too.
I will make an attempt to contact my dealer regarding the other issues tomorrow, as well as to make note of this one.
Anyways... Thanks!

Contact KZ and tell them of the issues you're having with your dealer. They may allow a mobile service to work on it. Personally, I'd just Eternabond the entire strip where the rubbing's happening. Less aggravation in the long run, than dealing with a do-nothing dealer. I'd certainly =document= the issue before making any repairs and send the pics to KZ!

Lyle One thing I didn’t note is that the hole and the wear is from the wiper seal while the slide is closed and traveling. What concerns me the most is that the trailer is only 10 months old, and we’ve only putt approx 4500 miles on it and the wiper has already work through the membrane. I am worried that I will need to keep adding another layer of eternabond every 9-12 months. I had to take a road trip for work this week. Will need to take a closer look at what’s going on and why the wiper is rubbing that hard on the roof when ai get back.

Hell, the Eternabond's probably 2-3 times thicker than the roof membrane, so it shouldn't be a huge issue in the short term, IMO. You =do= need to find the cause of this strange wear, though. I don't know that I'd waste much more time with this slacker dealer and insist that KZ step in so you don't get caught up in the "you didn't buy it here" b.s. if you go to the other dealer. Lyle
