Maybe I need to get under and crawl everywhere to find it but where, precisely, is the release valve for the fresh water holding tanks? I've found the low point valves of course and the grey and black release but the manual doesn't help and it doesn't appear to be by those...

I would help to know what model and year trailer you are talking about. That being said it is normally a red in color nylon tube with a ball valve on it. Mine is located on the street side of the trailer between the 2 wheels

The color of the tube or hose can be anything, they just use a short piece of scrap that is available. Yes, you need to crawl under and take an inventory of all the drains and pipes so you know what is there and can explain if you still have a problem.

Mine is under in the middle rear of the wheels. A pain in the neck for sure. That’s is where the drain for my hot water heater is located.

It should be under the trailer almost directly below the fresh water fill port. At least start there, it shouldn't be more than the tank length away. Usually the water pump is close too.

Are we talking about the fresh water tank drain valve here? The valve you use to let the water drain out of the tank onto the ground?

I added a 90° elbow off of fresh water drain. I left original valve in the open position. Added enough hose to side of trailer where sticker states fresh water tank drain. Added a 1/4 turn valve to drain tank without climbing under trailer in the dirt and mud.
