I'm member here and thought I would make an introductory post, to say hi to everyone. My wife and I just put in an order for a new KZ Sportsmen 260BH trailer two weeks ago at our local dealer. We are patiently waiting (not really, we can't wait) for its delivery in the first week of June.
After vewing every trailer on the lot at our dealer that fit our specs. (24'-28', superslide, bunkhouse) we though we would settle for a 26' Keystone Summerland that had fit the bill the closest (but something about it just didn't feel right) or a 28' Grey Wolf that was beautiful on the outside and had lots of bells and whistles but seemed to have skimped a bit on the inerior quality. Our dealer did not have any 260bhs instock (nor any on order) but showed us an S301BH that has a very similar layout and is basically identical in the front 2/3 of the trailer we knew the 260BH was the trailer for us.
The interior materials an quality seemed a step up from the other trailers we looked at and all of the options we wanted were available on it. We ended up ordering it with just about every option available and can hardly wait for our first trip in the new trailer and being able to try out all the new features we wish we had on our current trailer. Such as outdoor speakers, walkable roof w/ladder, power awning, slide, etc.
We are not new to trailers as we have worked our way up from a small tent trailer, up to a 20' Terry trailer we currently have which just barely had room for my wife, myself and our young son. If any friends/family wanted to tag along we just didn't have the room. So we decided it was time to look for the bigger trailer.
I have also seen the thread on the KZ Rally that is being put together in October and we are thinking very hard about making the trip out for that as we think it would be a lot of fun to meet other KZ owners and see the factory where our new baby was made. We live in Ontario, Canada so it isn't all that long of a trip and will make reservations at the camp ground in the next week or so if we decide to come out.
Looking forward to reading thru all of the info and insite from the members of this site.
