Finally got our 356RLT durango gold back from the dealer and we are leaving this morning on our 1st trip in it.
The problem is, I am getting no gas to the stove or fridge. I haven't tried the hot water heater on gas yet. I have verified that both tanks are full. I have turned the regulator to both tanks, and turned the bottles on and off slowly, and still nothing. When I go to the opposite side of the rv, to where the external gas connector is, I can push in on the valve, and propane comes out, so I believe that propane is getting through the regulator and into the trailer plumbing, but I get no gas at the stove or fridge. I have tried all the stove burners, leaving them open for several minutes, but no gas. It's almost like there is a shutoff valve or something that we are missing. Any ideas of what to look for? We are driving out soon, and will be on electricity when we get to the park, but I'll need to get this fixed when I get there. Looking for suggestions. Thanks, Rick

1 make sure the tanks are full 2 make sure the tank valves are open 3 the lines will be full of air, open a stove burner and light with a fire starter. 4 There is a shut off in the regulator and by bleeding the outside fitting it may have sensed a leak and closed the safety. if this does not work disconnect the tanks, reconnect and start at 2. 5 if none of these work, go to a propane seller and have them check the system.

The tanks are completely full.i have connected and disconnected the bottles several times turning the bottle off and back on. I have cracked the line coming out of the regulator with the bottles closed, and then when I open a bottle i am getting gas through the regulator. When I tighten up the line again, I get there red indicator on the regulator which goes away when I turn the bottle on. As said before, I am getting gas to the external propane connection on the opposites side of the rig, just not to the stove, fridge, or oven. It's like there is a valve or something turned off. I called the dealer and they suspect a bad regulator, but i'm not sure. Still looking for any thing more that I can check. Thanks. We are currently at a RV park for our 1st trip in our new RV, and can't cook on the stove..

If there is a flex/rubber line going to the kitchen, it cold be kinked or pinched. I've heard of that before, especially when kitchen slides are involved. Might have to pull the belly cover to find out.

I'm with Edd, 1. the lines will be full of air, open a stove burner and light with a fire starter. 2 There is a shut off in the regulator and by bleeding the outside fitting it may have sensed a leak and closed the safety. if this does not work disconnect the tanks, reconnect and start again ... Also try turning on your furnace an see if it lights an your hot water heater ... With a new or storied trailer for a period of time you sometimes need to purge the system of air, thus you open a door or overhead vent an turn on fan then open a stove burner to middle high for a minute or two, let air clear an then try lighting stove ... Please make sure the trailer is clear of propane before trying to light stove again, waiting a few minute should do the trick or if the fan is on an the door open then i'd say its ok to try light stove shortly after leaving the valve open ....
One other Note on your water heater, there is a black or red switch on the water heater outside, take the water heater door off an turn the switch to on, thus you will get hot water with propane, if this switch is off you will get propane on electric but not propane .... Don't ask me how I know LOL Hope this helps, be safe Chuck

With no luck so far, I ordered a new propane regulator just to eliminate that as a potential problem. The factory installed one was a Wic 6020 model and the new one is a Fairview model. We are at a rv park and the new regulater arrived today. I installed it,and the indicator on it does go to green when either bottle is turned on, but I am still not getting gas at the stove/oven. I do now get gas to the fridge. The fridge would not stay running on gas with the other regulator installed. I also turned on the furnace and water heater on gas as suggested and both worked, so it's just the stove/oven not working. I left the stove burners on for 30 minutes and still got nothing. I crawled under the rig and followed the gas line and saw where it teed off and went up to the fridge and then continued on until it went up into the slide with the stove/oven. I inspected the gas line until it disappeared into the slide floor and could find no problems. I tried to pull the oven out to look behind it but removing the obvious 4 screws on the front of it did nothing to loosen it up for removal. I'm trying to troubleshoot and fix this gas issue myself because we have several trips planned for the summer and really don't want to be in the shop for a couple months. All this being said, I believe that I have a Kinked gas line behind the oven or something shut off back there. Still looking for any suggestions of any more things that i can check, or how to get the oven out. Interesting that while I was under the rig, I noticed that the underbelly material was sagging way down at one point and when i felt it, it seemed like i was feeling the corner of something that i could move, but i will start a new thread on that.. Find out what brand & model stove, and you will likely need purchase date & vin when you call. Most appliances have manufacture warranty, call that manufacture and have them authorize repair at the closest authorized repair facility. I had an issue with a Suburban fridge and they authorized local repair.

I got the manual out for the stove and low and behold, you are supposed to depress the burner knob and hold it down while you light it. Doing that, the stove worked fine.the oven too so, turn the knob to the light position, and then depress it, light it, then rotate it to desired heat. I believe that the original propane regulator was faulty though, as I could never get the fridge or hot water heater to work with it.

Guess next time some one says the stove won't work I'll ask did you press the knob in. What we can learn from books. Didn't even consider we use it so much.

but it's really not, something simple as that was overlooked by all of us because we all just think that someone knows to depress the knob an turn it, then depress the igniter/sparker button ...
In our old 5th wheel we had long matches to light the stove, we thought the same thing till jetzen showed us the 1st year we owned the trailer at the rally you don't have to do that Ugh
Glad you figured it out

Oven works exactly the same way.
