Greetings, Im sure I come across as unable to please by the dealer, but after taking my 5er in for repair to black tank valve, oven pilot light for second time, maxx fan that failed to close during rain I got underneath and looked at the underbelly and how they got open and then closed it back. For one we waited 4-6 weeks so they could work us in since we full time. During repair they turned off LP and didnt hook up shore power for a portion of time so freezer melted along with contents. Last week during rain storm the fan failed to close though the one in kitchen did properly close. They had said since we are dropping the underbelly that adds alot of time so they needed it 2-1/2 days. Since my cancer treatment and replaced shoulder and hip I am very limited in what I can do so I waited for dealer hoping to get it right. They closed the underbelly with black zip ties. I read about cutting a hole with hinge towards front, but they just seemed to cut where needed without any concern for going down the highway. Is this typical and if so will this last or how do I need to fix. I was thinking of perhaps a small backer board with screws and then after cleaning some gorilla duct tape? Is this something KZ would repair at the rally? Regards, Ron

Yeah, not the cleanest I have seen, you are right they should have made the cuts with a "hinge" towards the front- if at all. What I don't get is why they said they needed 2 1/2 days to drop the underbelly, but then they cut all these access holes. Yes, some backer and screws would have made for a cleaner job. I would put some black gorilla tape over the seams to keep things sealed up a bit better. But you want something that *can* be removed. This dealer who made the "repairs" isn't impressing me, I mean they knew you were full timers, how hard is it to toss a cord out so the refer stays cold? As far as KZ replacing the belly at the rally- I would ask, as they are focused on customer satisfaction.

Is this something KZ would repair at the rally? Regards, Ron Rally repair policy has changed, they may take care of it after the rally but not during. Rally repairs are limited to "minor". I will be sending out rally repair requests to attendees in the next few days.? I will contact you about this.
