I'm looking to replace the standard Lippert pin box on my Durango 2500 that it came with from the factory. What's everyone's opinion about either a Lippert Rotoflex or a Flexair pinbox? I have the corresponding numbers related to the current pin box and I'm definately switching it out. Is it really worth an extra $700 for a Flexair as opposed to a Rotoflex? I'm just looking to reduce the chucking and provide a smoother ride for the fifth wheel.

I have the Rotoflex and love it paired with the B&W Companion. Smoothest tow of 3 5W's and thousands of miles, I am about 3/4 time out 9 months last year.

I had a Rotoflex as OE on my Durango Gold ... I changed it to a morRyde pin box. I’m not sure the morRyde is any better, so not bashing the Rotoflex. What I will say is the air ride pinbox will offer important impact protection to your pinbox area. I have an air ride hitch, but an air ride pinbox is better than nothing. Just MHO. What the Rotoflex and morRyde pin boxes do offer is reduced “chucking” ... I think they both succeed in slightly different ways. Neither of them offer vertical shock protection. An air ride pinbox will soften the blows our crappy highways offer in abundance.

Thanks for the input. I’ve stepped up my travel and plan on a long trip starting the end of June. My Durango 2500 is two years old and I pull it with a 2017 F350 long bed and the suspension is stiff on that. I just traveled from New England to Georgia and back and their was construction the whole way. The chucking is getting irritating and the trailer was definitely moving around enough to open drawers that haven’t been a problem before. I’m just trying to ease it up a bit. I think the Rotaflex will help that. The reviews look favorable.
