There is a toggle switch on our control panel that says "Main Tank" and "Secondary Tank" or something like that. Any idea what the heck that is for? LOL We only have a single fresh water tank, 1 gray water and 1 black water. Is this for the propane? We have no idea.

In my rear kitchen I have two tanks, the main (shower & bath sink, Washer) and the second the kitchen sink tank. Your floor plan only shows a single 53 gallon gray tank.

Some trailers, like my 384 and Edd's, have 2 tanks. One is for the bathroom and washer, and the other is for the kitchen sink and dishwasher. Maybe they ran out of the correct panel for your trailer when they built it and just put that one on there to get it out the door.

Mine has the main and secondary grey tank switch even though I only have the one tank. I think they just decided to keep it simple and use one switch panel.

Thanks guys. I guess the switch probably is not even hooked up behind the panel. Might be worth investigating but it looks like I have bigger fish to fry at the moment with this trailer.

The 2014 Durango 275re i just purchased has this switch as well. I was wondering the same thing. No idea what it was for. What is the purpose of the switch when the trailer is equipped with both tanks? Is this just for when checking the level in the tank?

I think you will find you have two gray tanks and the switch checks the level in one switch it and get the second. Which they consider main who knows, the switch in mines not labeled, took awhile to figure out the two tank switch.

Have the same switch in our rear kitchen 315RKD, main position on the switch is the bathroom sink and shower, other is kitchen tank on ours. They likely buy one panel and use it on most units. Happy Campin....

When I looked I only noticed 2 valves underneath, but maybe there is a third.
Thanks.

I may be wrong, but, from what I can find, the D275RE only has 3 tanks; fresh, black and grey. If you already have indicators for all 3, then the switch is likely a dummy for the "second" tank; KZ just used a common panel for multiple models. Not sure why you have 2 dump valves unless you have a smaller one that is a "quick" dump for the fresh tank. My old Komfort had a 1.25 or 1.5" dump for the fresh water tank with a blade valve. I'm just glad some of my more "prankster" family members decided NOT to pull that open while boondocking, but the fact that I carry (concealed), even around the campsite, might have had something to do with that. :-) Lyle

I think that is all I have and possibly the switch inside is just a dummy switch. Ill inventigate more in the spring. Maybe a 3rd dump valve is hiding somewhere. But I think I only have the 3 tanks, not the 4th extra grey tank.

I have a 2014 Durango 325 and has the "dummy" switch also. The dealer said they just used a "multiple use panel".

On the rear kitchen models there's a third valve near the back bumper, 3 valves two dump out connections. I re-plumbed mine and maybe KZ is now doing it from the factory. I still have 3 valves but only one out connection.

The R384RLT's have three Dump valves because the 384 has three tanks, if you have two tanks you will only have two Dump valves ... Our three Dump valves/handles are just before the front wheel an over the one dump outlet unlike many of the 5th wheels that have to two Dump outlets, one in front an one in back Ugh !!!
I have also added a extra slide valve on my dump outlet, thus when i take the cap off the outlet I don't have the extra nasty water dump on the ground As well I have a clear extension that I put on my hose at the outlet so I can see when everything has cleared the pipe an i have another clear peace on my 90 elbow at the sewer inlet to see when my hose is empty
Safe Travels

I have a 2017 381REF. It has two gray tanks (the main is the bathroom and washing machine, the secondary is the kitchen) I have only one light for the gray tank level ... that switch allows you to change which gray tank the level indicator measures.
