Shouldn't leak even with out toppers, where is the water coming in?

Well, complicated but simple at the same time. You need to follow where water flows. Start at the top, is the top seal out or is it folded backwards? Is it also over the tops of the side seals? Are both side seals out or have they inwards? They need to be outward. After all that one thing to remember- Water does all sorts of goofy things, so where you are seeing it may not be where it is coming in.

My old trailer leaked on the slide floor when the slide was out. On the outside of the slide, there was a strip of angle iron screwed on. I removed that and added butyl tape under that seam, screwed the angle iron back on, and caulked the edges. Never leaked again. I had read on similar forums that this was a common issue. I never found water leaking down the walls, only on the floor.
