We recently changed our toilet from the OEM Thetford to a Dometic 320 with hand sprayer. Big improvement ... toilet seat is heavy (not plastic), bowl is "rim flush" instead of "sprayer flush" and the bowl itself, and of course the seat, is oval shaped and not round ... very residential grade. But I must tell you that the hand sprayer is FANTASTIC. Once you have one, you'll never want a toilet without it. Makes cleaning the toilet a very easy task. Haven't used the "toilet brush" once since we installed the sprayer.

You'd think KZ could spend an extra $5.00 per trailer and put one in. I must say I do miss having it.

My old Komfort had a hand sprayer. Even on city water, it was marginal and on the pump, pretty useless, except to try and rinse down paper that didn't go down with the flush. Frankly, it was easier to get a cup of water from the lav sink to rinse the bowl. KZ doesn't have one, and we don't miss it.

I'm thinking of changing out ours to a round wooden toilet seat like we have in the house, looks to me like it would fit Never crossed my mind to use the shower sprayer to clean the toilet, I don't even think ours would reach, I can here the DW screaming "What the H2LL are you doing using the shower sprayer" Ugh !!!! Thus I know what would happen if I even thought about using it
Safe travels

I bought a replacement and attempted to install it, long story short it didn't work. If you ever try this DO NOT let the spring get out of place. We went with the Dometic 310 instead of the 320 to save space. This has to be one of the better up grades, the Dometic should be OEM, far superior to the Thetford. We now have a true throne.

I agree that the Dometic 310 and 320 are a step up. Janice wanted the oval bowl shape ... but I would have been OK with the round one. We had the spring pop off our OEM Thetford ... I wrestled with it and finally gave up. The valve would work but had to manually lift up on the pedal. That's what drove us to the toilet replacement.

Yep that spring, wish I'd done the upgrade a couple years ago. Still playing with the soft close lid.

How hard is it to install an RV toilet? Tired of my original toilet in my '17 KZ spraying my legs. Something a little heavier would be nice.

It is a good idea to add a shutoff valve while you are at it so a leaking toilet can be shut down and the rest of the system can still work. All RV toilets are light as a feather.

They make a nylon shark bite valve to put in the supply line, cut the original line and insert it. The valve adds a little length so check that before you try to reassemble. The valve is also one way and will leak if backward, look for a directional arrow on the side. (ask how I know that one)

We it seems as if we are following in Ronc an Edd505 footoaddles, are OEM Thetford foot peddle went south so we bought a Dometic 310 like Edd50 instead of the 320 like Ronc ... Like Edd505 we bought a nylon shark bite valve to put in the supply line so we can cut the water line off if needed ... We learned this lesson this past trip with the peddle sticking open enough to let toilet fill to the point of almost overflowing even thought it did spill enough water to make a mess, we were lucky we found such before it was a real mess ... So before replacing a spring on the foot peddle or what ever it took to stop it from leaking water we just went ahead an replaced the complete toilet ... We also like that when flushed it swirls around the bowl instead of sprays, way better an I believe way cleaner even thought it uses more water when flushed, we don't dry camp we Glamp (full hookup) Safe Travels Chuck PS: for you easterners it's already snowing out here in some of the higher passes
