The 6 pt levelers work fine until....
When getting ready to hitch, after raising the nose, and then pushing the hitch height button, they system throws a fault.
It doesn't matter if I'm using the touch pad outside, the tablet, or my phone.
After I am able to clear the fault it will happen again with hitch height.
All other functions - including manual raising and lowering, when hitching, work as expected.
I've checked online and there is nothing, including on Lippert's site, about this.
Anyone with the same thing, and maybe a solution?
Thanks, Al

Hi. I have an older unit. However, hitch height only works on mine if the nose of the trailer needs to go up. The system will throw an error if hitch height means that the nose needs to go down.
I'm sure it's some sort of safety measure on their part so that nothing (people included) gets smashed by the trailer coming down.

You may also want to check the zero point and adjust as needed, I had mine hiccup for an unknown reason and had the same issue until I reset zero.

Right. I know that. Ran into it the first couple of times. I make sure now that I raise it so its definitely above the truck rails.
Waiting to hear from Lippert.

Hitting the hitch height after that will produce an error because it does not know where to go. The same thing will happen if you need to relevel. if you don't go to hitch height first it will loose it's memory as to where hitch height is. You must hitch height first then change your trailer level or nose height setting. I very seldom bother with hitch height for that reason.

I think you’ve gotten good info from the group. I am like Jetzen, I never use the hitch height memory function ... just a preference.

I remembered this after my post. I do use the hitch height and try to remember not to move anything after dropping.

I only use the hitch height to raise the back 4 legs because it never goes back to the proper height. Once the back 4 legs are up, I always have to adjust the height for hitching.

I have the 4 pt. system on mine, and it seems to automagically remember the hitch height without me doing anything. Doesn't mean much as I still end up having to adjust it.

I as rvdude is doing, I use hitch height to rise the back four legs an then go to manual mode an rise the front legs to hitch if I need a bit extra height ...
The answers you got from the group are correct, if you try an reset or lift your front landing gear an it gives you an error it dozen't know what or where you want it to go once you have done something else with leveling ...
Safe Travels
