I purchased a new 356RLT from Tacoma RV earlier this year, and I had duratain scheduled out to my house to apply their treatment on it. They had asked that I lightly wash off the trailer prior to their arrival, and while in the process of doing this, I noticed about a 2" gouge in the nose of the rig, about 3/4 of the way up on the LH side. The gouge went all the way through the paint, and into the fiberglass, and also was through one of the decals on the nose. I happened to have a photo that captured this from the lot, before we even drove it home so it was there before we left the lot.. I called KZ and they started a warranty claim and had me bring the rig back to Tacoma RV which I did about 2.5 weeks ago. Today, I called them and asked how it was progressing and they said that they were down to installing the graphic sticker, and they also informed me about a crack in the sidewall that they discovered after I left the trailer down there. They said that it looks like it was caused from too long of screw installed when the slide window was installed. They said that they had removed the window and are doing a repair on the sidewall. Whats interesting is that I have a picture of the area where the crack is from before I drove the trailer off of the lot, and there isn't a crack visible in that shot. My concern is that something happened to the trailer after I dropped it off down there. I suppose the crack may have happened after driving the trailer from the vibration of the road travel?
I am really upset that I haven't even used the trailer yet, and it's going to have 2ea. body repairs done on it.
What are the odds that the repair areas will be un-noticable when I inspect them?
Not a happy camper.
