I have had my tires for a few years. But i have noticed one of the 4 tires are wearing faster then the others. Its not wearing in the front or back its the whole tire. Any ideas what would cause that.

Bent axle or bad tire. Both are usually the bare minimum in quality and specifications.

I agree with lynnmor bent axle or bad tire... If only one tire is wearing i'd say bad tire, if tires on the same axle on either side are wearing an the tires on the other axle are not then it's an axle ... from what I have seen an read their are two ways to tell if you have a bent axles, kneel about 5 or 6 feet in front of trailer an see if your tires are aligned one from the other... the other way is to put a level in the center of the axle an see if it's level ...
One after thought here as well is to jack-up the axle an shake the tire or tires to see if they are are loose, if the tire while still tight on drum will shake back an forth then you have a very bad bearing an this could also have an effect on tire ware ...
Good luck, hope it's only a tire Chuck

OK it doesn't look bent. The tire on the others side is fine. This are cheap tires maybe i should buy some truck tires for it and get away from trailer tires.

What is the tire size and load range? What is the code date on the tires? DateI put my Chinese tires on Craigslist and sold them while they were almost new, and installed LT tires.

I use these, they are only slightly larger and are far superior to most.

It doesn't take very much bend to cause tire wear. Also, axle could be fine and the =hub= could tweaked. Given today's QC on most everything, the d@mn spindle could have been installed out of whack. If this is the first set of tires you've gone through on your FW, it certainly wouldn't hurt to have the axle alignment checked. While I've never had it done, I've been told that it's not all that expensive, just needs to be done at a heavy truck/trailer shop that knows what they're doing. Some people like the "string method", by measuring from the hubs to the king pin, but I read a few years ago where one guy's king pin was a full 3/4" off-center of the frame. Excellent LCI build quality...

I have had good luck with the Goodyear tires. Have em on my KZ 5th wheel and car trailer. They are wearing well. I like the fact they are made in the US, and they have an 87 MPH rating. Not that I have any plans to run that fast with my 5th wheel. Although the car trailer has seen 70+ on the way to Vegas....
