Just wanting some feedback. We fulltime in our 2019 DG 380FLF we have had since the end of July. I’ve taken back once in August to get awning controller replaced and oven pilot light work. Now we are going back in April to have awning arms replaced removing smart controller so controls are inside only. I advised that I had a small leak with black tank drain allowing a small amount of liquids to leak past valve causing problems when draining requiring me to run black tank flush before draining black tank. The dealer knows we live in it full time, but said she would need it a minimum of 2 days. She said the awning fix is taking longer and anything involving drain valve will require them to drop under belly. I’ve basically let her pick the day and time, but she wants us to drop off by 10:00am Monday with plans to have ready late Wednesday. Do others that stay full time have trouble getting service done? I can’t believe they will actually have in the shop 2-3 days. I have had trouble communicating with dealer. Has anyone had success in talking to KZ and getting a new dealer they can work with? I know most dealers just want to service rigs they have sold. What about mobile techs? Will KZ work with mobile techs or later approve all or a portion for reimbursement? I’m trying to only get necessities fixed and hold balance for factory during KZ rally. Regards Ron

baranski37 2days for th e work you are requesting does not sound unreasonable. Any warranty work done outside of your selling dealer will need to.be oked by KZ before service is done, often they will have a alternative solution.
One other thing the rally is not the forum/place to get major repairs done.It is for technical support , courtesy maintenance and maybe one or two minor adjustments or repairs. If you have a laundry list of things that need attention you need to make an appointment for factory service before or after the rally not during.

I think they allowed some cushion in the time needed, but it isn't way out of line. If they quoted a time that was very tight, and then ran over it, you would be a less than happy customer. It probably would have been best it they agreed to a time not to exceed late Wednesday and would call if completed early. Getting KZ to agree to a different dealer might not be a good idea, I did just that and was treated like a second class customer by that non-selling dealer who then did third class work. I have learned that it is best to forget dealers and warranties unless it is a very major expense. Do all work that you can and hire a mobile service for the rest.

As far as the leak from the black tank drain allowing a small amount of liquids to leak, most all of us have some liquid that is present when you take the drain cap off, lots more than what you think should be there ... Most times i would say that I get possible right around a pint or a little more ...
Even when you think you have drained everything believe me you have not... When you put your sewer cap back on you
even thought you think you have let it emptied you will have drainage that is left over ... Some owners put small buckets under the sewer pipe when opening, others use Valterra Twist-On Waste Valves like below so waste water will not drain
out on the ground ...
by re-wiring their smart arm to only work off the panel inside the trailer in 30 minutes, so there is a fix to such ...
Safe travels
Chuck

I understand minor residual. I flushed system several times. Then closed black drain valve and added 5 gal of blue dyed water. Within 45 minutes the 5 gallons leaked. If I don’t keep the temporary valve (valterra valve you show in your post installed with retaining pins so it can’t come loose) at end of drain all liquids leak out of black. This does cause problems while being at full hook up site and having to drain both black and gray as I can’t leave gray drain open. This appointment was scheduled to replace smart arms with solid arms and controls inside only. Thanks all for feedback in the future I may try calling KZ and getting mobile tech. Being warranted full time was part of factor in decision to buy Durango Gold. Regards Ron

baranski37 I know you have a drain issue but like chuck said there is always some residual. I resolved that issue using one of these. Hook the sewer end and hold the open hose under as you open the hose fitting. You can see how much is behind the cap and that will drain to the open end of the sewer hose, no spills and no surprises. 8-10 bucks depending on where you get it .

Baranski, I talked to KZ about mobile service after I bought my trailer since I also live in mine. They are fine with mobile service, but you have to follow their procedure. I don't remember exactly but the tech has to let them know what the problem is and what is needed, and KZ has to get back with them and approve the repairs. I believe they will cover parts and labor but you would have to pay for the trip charge for the tech to come to you. Depending on the mobile company, KZ can pay them directly or you may have to pay the repair company and then KZ would reimburse you. Some companies require you to pay. Just be sure you find out their procedure and do it right so you won't have any problems getting it done under warranty.

Junk is in the eye of the beholder. My trailer has two outlets so I ordered two just a couple of weeks ago. I spent over an hour lapping the threads with valve grinding compound so I could get the 3/4" hose caps on. Then I worked on removing the two stickers on each cap so that they wouldn't block the view marring the clear plastic in the process. Next I tried them on the outlets and they would not go on because the seals were cemented in place and that hardened cement (Super Glue?) would not compress. Then I cut out one seal along with the glue destroying it in the process only to find that new seals are not available. With only two lugs and no detent this model is inferior even if you could find a way to use it. I returned the useless junk and got a refund.

As for the two outlets, mine did have but I went under and replumbed to a single drain.
