I think they need a new CEO personally, To me Marcus Lemonis has not been great for the company overall ... Even thought he has increased their overall holdings an stores he has let the staff in such decline in the ability to be customer friendly ... As well it is well known that Camping World has become the training
ground for new RV techs in an effort to save his bottom line an increase profit for share holders ...
Are there Camping World shops that have good RV Tech's, I have read that there are but they are far an few in-between ...
If you look on line, the on line store prices are well above everyone else's an in store price's are even higher in some case's if they have it at all ... The statement was made that they were cutting inventory, in the store near us the inventory has been lacking for a number of years an I can buy most everything cheaper at my RV dealer who is high priced already ... As far as Good Sam members just look at the campers on the road today, twice as many as a few years back, it's getting harder an harder to find spots unless you plan or call ahead a few days is some case's ... Were it use to be you see a camping trailer every so often now it's like there is one after another doing down the road, camp grounds always seem to be pretty full at most places we have spent the night any more ...
As far as Trailer an DP sales the word is out about how they treat their customers after the sale an in some case's even before ... Regular RV dealers are bad enough in allot of case's but not in all case's, but Camping World seems to treat allot of their customers that buy RV's from them like red headed step
children an there are hundreds of posts to prove such all over the internet ...
I have to wonder if Marcus Lemonis an his share holders ever read RV forms an see that Camping World
has become one of the biggest jokes in the camping world an only the owners who need something in a
pinch at a store close by or on sale far below the cost at other places will get stuff from them ....
I know that talking with one of the sales reps at Kz last year he stated he would not sell or try to sell any Kz products in his area to CW because of the way they treated their customers ... Safe Travels Chuck

Don't want this post to become political but his words may be coming back to bite Mr.lemonis when he said Trump supporters need not step foot into a camping world. Trump.supporters are not welcome. I am looking for a new 5th wheel hitch I have been in 6 camping world stores in florida and not one of them had a hitch on display or in stock. Some surprise their sales are slumping.

I think many sales are newbe's that don't know a thing and head to the big "Camping World" where they are wowed by the stuff. Sale people are happy to sell them everything the will need.
PS: meant this to be in General not do you want to buy a KZ

One thing I have noticed across all RV boards is the overwhelming distrust / dislike and negativity towards CW. They don't need to reduce inventory or bother with other buzzword BS- they need to get their act together and focus on customer service.

I agree with jetzen on Mr. lemonis comments about political supporters, it dozen't take much to get people mad any more, DW will not shop at Walmart because they are non-union ... So word gets out on one topic or anther if your big business an people do not like it they will run the other way in allot of case's an the bottom line suffers ...
Last year i went to a small RV repair shop not far from me an bought our new hitch for $150 less than what our dealer wanted an $200 less than what CW was selling it for ... I believe it pays to look at some of the small RV Repair shops
an places because some but not all have way better price's on larger items than the RV dealers ...
We didn't even need to change out our bed rail's the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Hitch - Dual Jaw - 18,000lb hitch be bought, an for what e-trailer is selling them for installed nicely with no adjustments what so ever
Safe travels

That political statement by Lemonis was out-of-line no matter what your political affiliation.
Our Buffalo, NY, CW has almost eliminated their indoor show room and stocked it with, if I remember correctly, 2 different outdoor companies dealing in all kinds of fishing, camping gear, etc. I can't remember the two names. This was done at the beginning of the fall/winter season. They still have same CW store in the same building. Must be hurting and need more people in the store. We only shop at CW if an item is at substantial sale price. We have friends who cannot get anything answered or done on their Montana. It was purchased at a CW. They have had problems with little or no solution. If I need service, I hope I am not in an area where CW is my only option.

Couldn't find how to multi quote so;
bluegrass2 : That political statement by Lemonis was out-of-line no matter what your political affiliation.
The Trump statement was just that, a statement that his comment may hurt him. I don't see a difference if he said we won't let: whites/Mexicans/Jews/ Catholics/ Indians in; that type statement can lose you business. - End of soap box -

Camping World has purchased Gander Mountain which is an outdoor outfitter and has renamed it Gander Outdoors. There are too many players to name all involved in that deal which goes back almost 15 years.

Camping World also now is associated with Overton's, a seller of boating supplies and accessories.

Regardless of your political leanings you just don't make comments about your customer base. People take stuff like that personally. He had to know that a good portion of his customers likely voted for president Trump and it's now hurting their bottom line.
Dicks sporting goods stores did the same thing with gun owners. I mean, come on! The majority of their clientele are outdoorsman that hunt and use weapons during said outdoor activities. They are now in very serious financial trouble because they decided to make a political statement instead of just continue to sell stuff that the public wants to buy.

I personally will never step foot in a cw again, or shop online for anything from them.
