I have a 2011 f250 6 and half foot bed extended cab. I bought a reese 16k slider hitch. while I was on my way home from the dealers the truck was jerking/bucking a lot. I know the 5th wheel isn,t level not even close.the front is really high compared to the back and the clearance between rails of box and camper is about 9 inches. does leveling the camper make a big differnance when towing?will it stop this jerking.I also have the brake controller set at 6. thanks tim

Leveling the trailer will make a HUGE difference in how it tows. Also when you add weight to the trailer it will change the ride. Right now I'd be willing to bet you are rear heavy in the trailer.
You should be able to easily raise the pin box all the way up to the top bolt holes if it isn't already. After that you will need to have the axles on the trailer lowered to the bottom holes on the spring hangers. In my case that was two inches up on the pin box and two inches down on the axles.

your right about being rear heavy.you sound like you have the same set-up. the dealer that I bought the camper from said that it was fine the way it was and the jerking was normal.i thought he was full of it. thanks for the advice I will try this . tim
