mkpaint We have been in 100 degree weather an ours was pretty darn cool, it took a little but to start with after setting up, but i'd say after about a half hour or little longer our 384 was starting cool down pretty well with both units running ... Alter an hour I would have to turn the bedroom one off an the main living room AC would keep it nice an cool ... As I have stated in other posts I call it the meat locker because the DW dozen't like very hot weather an we kept it in the 68 degree range an lower at times all summer long no matter were we were
without any problems at all ... Safe Travels Chuck

You should be good. Chuck pretty much summed it up. My DW is heat averse as well, and she has been happy during our trips. Best advice is take advantage of shade when available, things will cool off even quicker.

Thanks for the responses. Searched forum and saw thread about changing registers to block cool air from going in belly of coach. All good stuff.

Old rule of thumb was +/- 20 degrees below ambient, though some are better and that # seems to be closer to 25. SHADE is your friend! :-)

Use your awnings on the sunny side, helps the A/Cs as the shade helps keep the inside temp down.

Thanks for the responses. Searched forum and saw thread about changing registers to block cool air from going in belly of coach. All good stuff. Some but not all of us have changed the registers to the household ones with the flip vents, thus shutting off air flow in different area's ... It seems to work somewhat, I did have a problem in one area just behind the counter toward the back of the trailer when the vent would block the air flow to the very back register when open an not open all the way, thus I had to trim the flipper ... I believe the problem is the duck is a little messed up where i had a problem, but
overall the new house vents seem to work pretty well, I got mine at home Depot
Safe travels
