How do I know what to set my brake controller at. I have it currently set to put half my brakes coming from my trailer. When I do in town driving it jerks a lot. When I am on the highway it seems to do okay. Please any advise will be great.

We don't know what tow vehicle, trailer or controller you are dealing with. Post the information and maybe we can help.

Here's mine. 2011 F-150 with factory elect brakes, 2010 MXT 20. Mine tows just like the previous post. Maybe the jerking is just the speed and road? Set brake at 4.5.
