Hey all, I have had this fifth wheel since July 2018 and my DW and I live in it full time. I’ve had two different bottom rods on the black out shades fall off. Just curious if others have had a problem. I think it is probably easy to fix if I knew how. I’m trying to avoid dealing with dealer unless required. I am currently scheduled for April 8th for dealer to replace smart awning arms with standard arms and control from inside only, Maxx fan that does not close when it rains. The large window over dinning table along with a small one in bedroom fell off. It looks like I could maybe pull the end cap and after maybe folding shade and stapling then slide back into bar at bottom that has opening along its length for shade. Regards Ron

Ron, I would call dealer an put such on your list for repair instead of you doing it, that way there is a record of such ... We have had not had a problem on our 384 except the shade over the dinning room table rolls up to far an is hard to get to once this happens, needs adjusting, I thought the guy from the shade company was going to be at last years rally but here changed his mind, guess there wasn't enough people, only a guess ... Again I'd let the dealer now ASAP so that he has the stuff so you don't have to wait on such if you go that way ... Safe Travels Chuck

baranski37, it is an easy fix. The ends of the grab bar pull off, then slide onto the shade.
There should be adhesive on the end of the shade, pull the shade in question all the way out, roll the end of the shade 1 or 2 times and make sure it sticks together, then slide grab bar over it. After you have pushed it through put the end cap back on the grab bar.
It can be a tedious and delicate job, just go slow and take.your time. Mine have never fallen off, but my dogs pull on them and make the shade actually pucker so I have to undo the grab bar straighten out the shade and reinstall the grab bar.

Regards Ron I had the same problem with my bedroom window shade when the trailer was new. Then the shade wouldn't go up all the way. I just wrapped it up to keep it out of sight and lived with it. The KZ tech put a whole new shade on mine while I was at their facility after the rally last year.
