So I unlocked my slider hitch applied trailer brakes and it stuck then slid back kinda hard and bent the front rail. Has this happened to anyone else?

Front rail of? Hitch? We kinda need a bit more info. Who is the mfg? Model? Short answer is nope, I haven't seen a hitch bent from a hard slide.

Yes its front rail. B&w 16k slider. Wife took truck to hitch shop turns out dealer did improper install. Put 8 bolts in. 2017 Ford calls for 11 bolts.

Sounds like that dealer's got some 'splaining to do. If they are a B&W dealer, B&W =could= force them to replace/fix the hitch at their cost if they want to keep the line. I've heard that happening with other stuff. If they aren't an "official" B&W dealer, then you may be outta luck. If that happens, then give them a series of 1-star reviews on Google, etc. I know that =I= read reviews of companies that I've not done business with before. Good luck; hope you can get it solved without too much hassle. Lyle

Come to find out hitch place that looked at it does work for the dealer(not this install dealer did it) so they are sending dealer pics and a estimate. We talked to dealer and are waiting now. Will update.
