We have a 2016 Vision. We pull it to a campground in the spring and pull it home in the fall. At the end of the season, I noticed the steps were giving a bit. Upon further investigation, I found a bagel size soft spot in the entrance and then feeling under the camper, the one main board is soaked and the steps were falling off.
We understand that it is out of warranty but no one seems to want to help. It has been at the dealer for 2 months. They resealed the trim near the door (we are constantly tightening the screws around the trim). They wanted to put a steel plate under the camper to fix it. That doesn't solve the soaked rotting beam issue.
The dealer stated that KZ sometimes helps with this if they feel that it is a manufactors defect. Then the dealer told us to call KZ. KZ said they would not fix it under warranty and to call the dealer again and have them call KZ . From what we understand from the dealer and KZ, this is a huge undertaking to fix. Like the floor is all one piece and we would have to basically tear everything out.
Has anyone experienced this? DO you really have to strip the entire inside of the camper out? Can anyone point me in the right direction to repair it ourselves?
We are very frustrated at this point. We take care of our camper. I have never used the oven and I think we have showered in it twice. (I feel the shower isn't supported enough) Our camper is probably cleaner than our house.
The local RV show is coming up in 2 weeks. Quite tempted to wear my "Happy Camper" shirt and modifying it with an "Unhappy Camper" to show my frustration with KZ. We just keep getting a run around.
