An RV furnace is very inefficient and it is heating a poorly insulated box. Consider using small electric space heaters that only heat the area you are occupying. Of course the furnace will need to run during below freezing temperatures.

I'm with lynnmor on this. Cooking, use of furnace and hot water tank will use up propane pretty qukckly. I would suggest running the hot water tank on electric if possible and also check for leaks.
There has been a lot of bad propane tank pigtails lately.
The DW and I have been in central Florida since late october, we have gone through 4 tanks of propane so far and half way through the 5th. This year has been a little colder than last year down here and the furnace has run more for us. So far this year we have used as much as we did all of last year.

Check for propane leaks on all the lines you can find with soap and water. Do you smell propane anywhere around the trailer? Also consider that the tanks may not have been full when you picked it up?

We have had both propane hose's replaced now since we have owned our G384RLT, they started to leak just behind the large green knob that screws into the propane tank ... First hose went bad five months after we had the trailer, second one went about two months after that ... Our Propane hose's were very stiff to begin with, the one's we replaced them with we very flexible ... Also be aware that there are different type fittings, make sure you get the proper propane connector for the tanks you have .... Safe Travels Chuck

The propane tank hose was so good on my toy-hauler. The Squirrels ate the whole thing. Switched to a steel braided hose.

Like chuck said check the pig tails at the tank. Both mine leaked and my propane use was cut after I changed them.

Check the connection from the hose to the main line feeding the camper. It is at the frame. The flared fitting on our Connect 260RKS developed a crack. Couldn't figure out why I was using so much propane. Every once in a while I would get a whiff which led to the discovery.

I second the portable heater remark. I have used a tower heater in the living room and a small surround heater in the bedroom for years, and occasionally the fireplace as needed in both my previous 5th wheel and now the new Gold. They keep me plenty warm and I seldom use the central heat in the trailer.
