I am glad to see another camper from Ontario willing to push the limits of the camping season. I pick my trailer up from the dealer on April 18 and want to camp on the 19th. My gf says it is too early but I would like to try out all the systems now rather than wait until mid season when I am hours from home or a dealer to discover the glitches that could appear. We only have 500 camp grounds in Ontario so I might be able to squeeze into one of them. I am looking forward to other campers in the Toronto area to share some of their preseason experiences so I know what to anticipate here.
Bill from the Greater Toronto area.

We live on the shores of Lake Huron, In Bayfield , and like to start early in the season , and go as long as we can. The Pinery Provincial Park is only half hour from or home and is a great place to go, Open year round for the real hardy campers.

We live in the Orangeville area and are planning on getting out as soon as the snow melts and we can get our trailer out of the backyard. MacGregor Provincial Park is open all year as well and we love it up there.
We can't wait to get out, rumour has it the sun will come out this week.
Enjoy the season everyone!

Sorry first post should have been 242SBH Sportsman, great unit, tons of room. Tried to book MacGregor this year but site wasn't working.
Sauble falls is also a great place to go, were there last summer.
Have a great season every one

We're in Guelph and pick up our new 196S on April 20th. Setting up and sleeping in the driveway with the kids for Saturday and Sunday Night. (Monday is a PD day here) I figure home is good place to make sure all is functional before we head out.
Headed to Inverhuron for May long weekend, Killbear for 10 days in July, as well as August/Sept/October long weekends at various places ...... and some "make our own long weekends" here and there between now and the winter.
This summer is a little busy for us at home so we're not venturing too far. Next summer we're hoping to get up to Sault Ste Marie / Algonquin and Manitoulin areas. Contemplating a trek to the east coast also but it depends on how vacation time works out for myself and my wife. (wouldn't mind a winter get away also)
To be honest, I'd love to head to northern Michigan at the end of the summer if I can swing it. I've heard it's every bit as nice as northern Ontario in the fall.

We were hoping to get out at the end of this month. We're booked at Pittock CA in Woodstock. We like to start early as well. Not sure if we'll make it though. Just upgraded from a Spree 261RKS to a Spree 301RBS and have had nothing but problems. Just discovered a serious water leak in the slide out, a serious leak in the water pump when we started to de-winterize this past weekend and the furnace doesn't work properly. It's at the dealers now and they are trying to properly dry everything out, but the slide out leak saturated the carpet and the plywood underneath. The dealer is awesome but I'm so worried about this trailer. Our 261RKS was a dream, no issues. That's why we stayed with the Spree this time. So, not sure if we'll make it out for our first trip in April.

Thank you jeffm5331! I hope you have a great, safe camping season too. Our dealer is looking after us well. We were surprised to have so many issues with this trailer. Everything is covered under warranty as expected and we have confidence in our dealer. This was our fourth trailer we've purchased from them. They have promised us they will have all the issues fixed and the trailer re-inspected long before our first camping date at the end of the April. Now I'm just looking forward to getting this behind us and taking our Spree out for the first trip ever.

Did you buy from Niagara trailer? We did even though it's a long drive for us.

Ok, I can't stand it any longer...we too have been out twice and had a great time also. We live in western NY state....it is a real challenge getting out early here. We get a lot of Lake (Erie) Effect Snow and are lucky to be able to dig the trailer out by April....this year and last were exceptions. I am glad to see that our northern friends are as determine as we have been to get as early a start as possible.
Our first trip was the week of Palm Sunday in March to Lancaster, PA. Wonderful trip, so many things to see but disappointed to see it become so commercial, 40 years ago it was so much about the quiet Amish community. We left in snow and checked the weather for our travels through the Allegheny Mountains towards Hershey, PA....no problems.
Our second trip, the first week in April was to the Walnut Creek area of Ohio...left in snow then too. This also is an Amish area, very quiet and quaint but still plenty of shops and dining places...certainly our continued choice in the future....we travel here 2 to 3 times a year on a regular basis. We frequent the buffets and bulk food stores for supplies.
Both trips had cool weather, really cold nights but our 2013 KZ Spree 261RKS served us well...we love this trailer. We looked for 2 years before trading last year and it was worth the wait.
Hope to meet all some of you at the KZ Rally.

Did you see Noah? We are heading for lancaster in June to see "Noah" at the Sight & Sound Theater. Staying a bit north in Stevens, PA so that we can also make a trip to see chocolate made.

Yes, it was outstanding.
We stayed at Old Mill Stream Campground next to Dutch Wonderland. It is a very nice campground, gets noisy during the season with the park rides though. The park closes early though so even during the season it isn't too bad. Off season is great.
