So at the park this weekend near my deer lease and got woken up around 3pm by my water pump turning on and off every 10-15 seconds. It was about 29 degrees outside. So I’m thinking maybe there is a temp gauge on it to circulate water around when outside temp gets below freezing so I just turn off the pump and back to bed. Wake up at 5 and turn pump back on do get ready for hunting and it’s still doing it. I go outside to investigate if something is leaking and sure enough there is a steady drip coming out of my fresh water connection. Turn off the pump and it will eventually stop after what I assume the pressure goes down. Is there a seal at that connection that could be failing or maybe got frozen a bit to let the leak out? Any other ideas? Thanks.

The connection has a check valve built into it. That check valve might have debris or ice in it. Sometimes you can remove the screen and carefully poke at the valve and get it to seat. It may be damaged from freezing and needs to be replaced. If the back side of it is accessible, it is easy to replace. If the back side is not in a warm area, you should find a way to get warm room air into that area. Covering the hose connection with insulation might be be a temporary fix to prevent freezing.
