Took a hit on the front cap and took a larger than golf ball size divot out of the cap and graphics pretty much destroyed by bugs. So stripped repaired and painted the front cap. Initially I was going to extend the next lower stripe on the side onto the cap until we started taping them off and realized the one on the right was about six inches lower then the one on the left so when we come out onto the cap and looked at the front it was like whoops. So last minute change and this is what we ended up with. Still think it turned out pretty good. Try to put a before and after photo on here if I figure it out. Attachments:

You obviously have done this before, can't say I am surprised about the difference in the stripes from side to side. Good job making lemonade from lemons.

Personally, I'd've left the front cap light instead of black. I can feel the heat on the inside wall of our D277RLT any time the sun hits it.

It looks great! Your from the Midwest so the dark should be fine, down my way the lighter the better as triple diget heats not uncommon & two A/C is a must have.

Was kind of rushed once the other plan went south between weather and prep didn't have a lot of time to get more creative.

Edd505 I am actually in Texas. Put 4 coats of a UV inhibitive clear on it but also will be putting 3 coats of a UV inhibitive sealer on it as well which should help with bug removal and such too. Makes the surface so slick you can just use it to remove the bugs and apply another coat.
